Hey - If I can help out a fellow bass player...
I thought for sure the bridge cover wouldn't fit over a larger high mass bridge.
You learn something new every day.
I'm glad you still had a use for the standard bridge on another bass.
I think the chrome knobs look better than the white Strat styled ones.
I am actually alright with that part. They write better stuff than I could. Well... I have a lot of difficulty ever remembering what I do play. My spastic ADHD approach to playing makes it very difficult for me to write and remember a riff. Even if I do remember the riff, my train of thought is long gone and it always seems awkward. I am also basically computer/audio interface stupid. I am just not very adept at learning computer programs. I never have been.
All I really want is to play tunes with people on a regular basis. It could be covers, originals or free jams. I don't care, I just want to make music. Ideally very loud music.

Chrome. I can barely take Strat knobs on strats
I like strat knobs, but you may be right. When in doubt, chrome it out!
Thanks again. And yea I actually still might have to use that bridge on this p bass, depending on how I string it, it fits the E with room to play, but if I went to a low B it might be an issue.
The standard bridge is narrower by a fair amount. This fender hi mass leaves like maybe 1-2mm space on either side. The heights ok too. My geddy's badass bridge is too wide and much longer so it would not even begin to for the cover. I assume fender wanted things to stay kosher for those who liked the old look on their more modern basses.

According to Wikipedia though I guess the original first run 1998 limited edition geddy was stock with a badass ii, so very cool I guess.

Not the beefiest amp but if you like the sound of it, then it's good.
I would think you would be better served by a pair of 3015's than something with a mid driver.
Sadly it was the only thing available , so i keep using it till i find anything better . A 2x3015 design was my my first thought .
I would build a modified TL-606 215. Convert to 1/2", @add bracing, and play with the internal volume and porting a tad.
Just a side note that put me over the edge and guaranteed that the Peavey Supreme would be mine - apparently, it was used on some old-school death metal albums! Now that's a tone! Not a huge Soilwork fan, but their early stuff was great!

What's a good cheap new or used tube combo in the 5-15 watt range?
I had a valve jr. stack and a champion 600 before. The champ sounded better IMO and I prefer that size as I want a small amp to replace my crate 15 watt practice amp. My only issue with the champ was it sounded muffled and I blane the weird felt grill cloth.
Also I'm also interested in a fuzz that's increda cheap and more black keys/british invasion than high gain doom.

Only a tube in the preamp but I really dig my Orange Micro Terror. I had a Champ for a long time but dig the
MT more. No Fender chimey cleans but still does clean and really does dirt well.
If you turn the gain lower on your EXH black russians, don't they do Black Keys for you?
Ill have to find an equally tiny cab for that thing.
Muffs probably would, but they are being sold they are worth more to me sold. Then I can get a cheaper smaller fuzzy later on.
Oh sorry I meant to say non muff fuzz. I still have my blue beard. I want something thinner, raspier. Velcro like you say. Witch guitar tone, black keys etc. maybe a fuzz face or something else.
Getting oc-2/oc-3 gas too. I used to have an oc-3, set it for 75% clean blend with the oc-3 dirt selected, duo sonic tuned to drop c, neck pickup into my classic 30 set for dirty... Hot damn that was such a great tone. Thick and mean.
I figure a fuzz and oc-2 would get me the same thing but better than the onboard oc-3 dirt, if it blended the same way.
