Stoner/Doom Bassists Thread, Part 90: Maxed Out

If it doesn't get below 50 in the house, I don't need a heater.

I felt your quote was missing something...jk

I hate wearing pants in the house and have no central heat so I put a fan heater on if I need to.

My bill was $160 and now $190. I need to call and ask because I was gone like all of december with every thing unplugged and still got gauged for it, so I'm curious what's going on. Every month has been an increase since I moved in, regardless of my usage.

Gotta quit leaving your hitachi magic wand on while you are not using it...

My electric and gas combined were less than $75 last month.

Also, "That fuqing critter has fur. It doesnt need heat!"

Lol the damn hedgehogs ruin that argument, trust me I tried that one LOL. It's my damn 1920's farm house though, I need to weatherproof it. We are not even keeping it that warm, like mid 60's is all. So glad I don't have oil heat though. Plus I spent too many years in Florida so now I hate wearing long pants and sweatshirts in the house, but this year I am LOL.

Bunch of sissies in here.

Its 50* in my apartment at night. I sleep in boxers. Might plug in a tube amp to warm up room.

I can't wait till these hit the market. High cut and tap tempo!

Interesting. I picked up a joyo D-Seed delay for my gutar rig a few months ago. It adds some ghost until it warms up a bit, then its a pretty great cheap delay. I have an M13 for "real" effects, I just needed a roots board w/ trem and slapback for an audition, and Joyo won. I, however, did not :)

I have been eyeballing that D-Seed. I have an EHX #1 Echo to hold me over after my least favorite dog destroyed two Akai Headrushes I had. Really miss the tone/color knob and the tap tempo feature.

I have to admit- I rarely used effects until I got a POD set up w/ the floor board years ago when I was playing in church a lot. In that environment, a tap tempo is mandatory, and I just can't bring myself to get a delay without it anymore. It also needs to be on a separate switch, the DD5 has it all in one, and it sucked. The dd20 was nice, but pricey, and it went the way of the dodo when the M13 came along and replaced my small unit board. I still have 3-4 analog drive pedals, but for any kind of time based FX, the Line 6 emulations are just fine for me.

last week I asked about putting a chrome bridge cover on a newer fender hi mass bridge. I then left our corner to ask. I was met with a lot of no. Fair enough, but @tangentmusic sent me a free extra bridge he had to help with my project no questions asked (aside from what's my address). So I'd like to thank him for being so cool!

Turns out I just got the chrome cover in the mail yesterday at the same time and for giggles I tried placing it on the high mass bridge and what do you know it does fit. No worries though my first bass I ever played that I recently re acquired really needs a bridge as its rusted to hell so it did not get shipped in vain!

I repost this info on the thread I made to alert the rest of tb to this discovery and his kindness too.

Getting the parts together to put it together, and 5 other basses and guitars later today. Here is the thing in question though. Trying to decide between white strat or tele chrome knobs.

That white P looks classy.
