basically you tap the switch and it will set the speed of the delay to the tempo of your tapping. I have it on my phaser and love it. it comes in handy when your songs have tempo changes.

Curious to know how it does on low end retention. I've only used my DOD phasor and an MIJ Boss one; the latter nuked lowend. The DOD is awesome.
well I "settled" on 3. my favorite sounding phaser is the moog mf103 but it's too big for my board and no tap tempo. I could use an expression pedal but that takes up more room. so it will be a studio phaser. the hbe Psilocybe is great too but needs a volume control, which I modded mine with. however it doesn't have tap tempo or weird wave forms. the cusak tap a phase sounds ok. a little too much like a wah than a phaser. however it has everything I need. tap tempo, volume control, frequency center control, ramp up and down and can get nice and weird if needed. plus it doesn't take up a lot of space.

Band practice cancelled again. We have probably one of the biggest shows I have played with the group in a week and a half. We have had one practice and 3 shows in 2015 so far. I really don't want to rush into a decision, but these guys may be solving my amp/cab dilemma for me as I will not need that gear soon.
Been on such a Mexican kick, I've switched to asian.
Crock pot vietnamese pork ribs, And rice.
My new rice method = brew jasmine tea using the last bit of coconut water used in the pork, then use that in the rice cooker. Once the rice is done I mix in coconut milk that I kept in the fridge so I can use just the cream, then sriracha, soy sauce and some reserve broth from the pork. Coconutty and spicy.
Know any drummers? Ours has decided we don't want him in the band despite trying to get him over here every week the last month. We've told him repeatedly that he's welcome in the band, but he just has to SHOW UP. That's pretty much our qualification right now. He refuses to show up, even when he said he will be there and that the drumming situation will be the hot topic of the night. And he's nigh impossible to get a hold of. He's one of those conspiracy guys who thinks he's got to be "off the grid" because the government is watching him. (Also, he's convinced that Dave Brockie of GWAR was killed by the government.) Anyway, just venting with you. We haven't really had practice since Thanksgiving, and we can't even find another drummer of any kind. Our criteria for drumming at the moment is that you have a kit and that you SHOW UP. And really, showing up is about it. Having a guy claim he plays drums while being at practice without a drum set is still marginally better than having a drummer who isn't at practice, right?
Ok, venting done. On the good side of the night, I got the first piece of my guitar rig in place. It's an old Peavey 412MS cabinet, loaded with Sheffields. It was a steal. I can say this much about it: all those people who claim Sheffields are bad speakers need their ears checked! They rocked! Nice and low tuning, but still crisp and clear. It sounded great through my guitarist's Crate amp, so I can only imagine it'll sound much better through the Peavey Supreme coming in Friday. And tomorrow I'm getting my 7-string! 3 days, 3 pieces of the rig to complete it all. Getting excited!
(Regarding my buddy's Crate amp, he's had bad luck. Think he blew a speaker. I feel kinda bad, because my guitar rig will definitely beat his, and I'm the bassist! I guess that's the difference between having to buy new (like he does) and getting great stuff cheap used. He'll learn one day...)

And people who only buy new or name brand is such a pet peeve of mine. i will buy new and brand name if it's the only option, but if you rather buy new garbage over a used treasure. Get over yourself..
TPS - you and me have opposite issues. We practice every week religiously but no-one can be bothered to book a gig.

I don't think there's a single T-40 finish that doesn't look great.
Wow, February is seriously becoming a problem drummer month.
We had some beer and played board games with friends at guitarist's place last night and there's hope that one of our close buddies that was actually our first choice for drums when we started out might be interested in playing with us.
He had some personal issues back then and declined, but now he's squared away and there's a chance we may convince him.
But yeah, the only criterion for the new drummer right now is that he has to show up regularly.

Same with my BF2, in a LOUD band setting it just doesnt cut it, too much bass loss. Hoping it will look cool on the board and work well at volume.
That and i think a phaser will just work better for what im looking for than a flanger

I'll give you his reasoning, but I'm not sure you guys can handle it. They killed him, get this, because he said things that they didn't like. Because, you know, the government is the government. (That's basically his explanation for anything government-related.) And apparently they think a satirical parody heavy metal band is a legitimate threat to their rule? I don't know, the guy's nuts. Good drummer, but his head isn't exactly on straight.
