I could also get more cabs later, right? You can run two 4 Ohm cabs in series at 8 ohms. So if it is a SS amp no real benefit.

But yeah you're right, i guess, not a good idea if the amp puts less than 500W at 4 ohms.
212 cabs, 8 ohm speakers. I'd guess it can't be done if the speakers are all 8 ohms?If you want a total load of 4 ohms then you'd need to rewire the cabs so they are 2 or 8 ohms each. Then a series parallel box would allow you to run them at 4 ohms.
Indeed, and that'd be way out of my budget, too. I could even get a custom built amp for the same money!but that is only possible if he swaps out the speakers.
Both cabs are 212 and both deliver max output at 4 ohms, one is loaded with Beyma neo's and the other has Deltalites. I'd assume the Beymas are 8 ohms too.I guess it depends on what the speakers are and how they are currently wired, no? My 215 can run at 4 or 16 ohms. An 810 using 32 ohm speakers can be wired many different ways.
Would be the same with my 212s, so it'd be less of a hassle to get an amp that can run 4ohm stereo or 2 ohm mono.Nope.
4 Ohm 410 can be wired 1, 4, 16 ohms. Your 215 is 4 or 16, but could not be wired at 8 Ohms with out a change in speakers.
Well, thanks you guys, this is very useful information for me. Hugs for you both! (>^.=.^)>
