The UD is such a good pedal. I was a bit reserved about sending it back to Corey because I thought I would miss it. But the Joyo British is working really well.

Yeah, I agree. I did like the guitar playing, but not the guitar tone, little too processed for my tastes.
Yeah, I definitely think the UD is a better pedal overall. I'd watch for a DOD if you're interested. Snagged mine at the local GC used for $50. (GC's used section can have some great stuff if you are patient and persistent!) UD can sound like the DOD, but not vice versa. I just picked up a DOD since I heard Sleep's bassist used one, and it was cheap. Figured I'd flip it for the same price if I didn't like it, and that's pretty much what happened! (Well, minus the not liking it. It was good, but redundant on the board.)
As for modulation, I prefer phaser and envelope filter, in that order. Actually, GC used has the DOD FX25B for $40, and I use that Istomp patch for my envelope filter, so that might have to happen soon...
That's your problem! ALL B3K is no bueno. I prefer high gain, low blend. Low gain low blend didn't really sound much different at all, and was indistinguishable in the mix. Good luck twiddlin' them knobs!
And further searching has found a DOD 250 used for exactly $80, but that'll be plus $10 shipping and tax. There are other 250s on the site as well, but some don't have pictures so you can't tell what version they are and others are more modern revisions, but not the newest revision. Happy hunting!
UD is compact and works. Can't complain at all on performance. the plastic battery door sucks, but I don't use batteries.
It stacks nicely with the blue beard, but not in a way I need (just sounds like heavier BB) So they are the foundation of my stereo setup.
Fabtone and daddy-o mix well, ones dark and the other bright and together you get the fabtone dirt but dirtier, and the full range of light and dark together, so Dano board is mono.
Just saw a local fx25b for $40, and another guy with a $30 Black Russian small stone on CL a few seconds ago. Really tempted, but they both have terrible notoriety for volume drop.
I miss my big box q tron that was an awesome filter. Tried a russian bassballs, that was cool, but always sounded the same and it wasn't usable that often, and it's so damn big.
Put an ad out for a cheap nano ehx don't care about condition, just working status. I've read it's darker and doesn't lose volume, that's exactly what I want.

Got tracking info for the new amp - was in chicago saturday morning, expected delivery tomorrow. Hoping it shows up today, but tomorrow is ok too. It would show up on a day that I have class until 9:30. Gah.

Love my DOD250. Mine is a RI modded to grey box specs. Its my always on grit for my uber clean Dunwich DI/pre. I can agree that its distortion can be a bit harsh at times though, thats why I run mine with the gain lower than volume. But whenever i get a tube amp I plan on using it as a full fuzz boost.
Played a show last night with the old guitarist me and the VEGA drummer used to riff with lots of fun, we both (bands) played awesome sets. And the fuzz, the bad kind, didnt cut us short this time. Played a new and and got great reception from that. Seriously though if any of you guys are into never ending mind blowing guitar solos, check out LORD MONTAGUE. We attempted and succeeded in too much metal for 12 hands...

I felt as free as you yesterday Niff. I went to Tractor Supply first then on to Walmart. I just finished waving to my hottie bank manager in Walmart when my 7 year old says oh no Joe, your pants are ripped. The seam against the back pocket ripped and I had no clue. I had to buy Walmart jeans and run to the bathroom and change. Good times!

Max there is a clean Epiphone Valve Junior head for $100 bucks on my CL. I used to have a Fender Champ 600 but on bass it kind of farted out. You dig the Epi VJ on bass right?
