That's the awesomest Y2K bunker I've ever seen.
I may over time, but I do dig the tone I get so far, and want to retain it. Generally I'm all for bridge pickup 100%. I wanted this to be different than my normal setup.
A standard with I think a .72 - .14 set and a 14.5k neck pickup. A switch with a high pass or cocked wah circuit would be simple and I just keep the existing arcade button on my guitar hopefully, and just punch it for cut.
Same here, poopie's gotten strange over the last several years.
I guess I'm so used to the chill doom scene that seeing some of the silly bro-ish stuff and weird machismo of the other parts of the metal genre seem really foreign to me now.
How do they get their mouths up to all those tall bong--oh wait...those are mic stands...

I myself am definitely a nerd. My favorite books are a series set in a world co-created by two anthropologists initially as a setting for their tabletop pen and paper RPGs.

Yeah, it's pretty cringe-inducing. Kinda explains why I see way more women at doom shows than I remember seeing at other kinds of metal shows though.
Side project or new main project? (ie I haven;t been here since Friday, I may have missed something)
Not a main gig. Still with Valley. We are writing right now with a goal to release a full length at the end of the year. I can't wait to keep you guys posted with samples. Although the secondary project also has a goal to put a 12-15 song album out as fast as possible.
I have been set on a new rick at some point this year as well. Thinking fireglo, jetglo, or snowglo if I can find it. But that guild also sounds awesome. I just had a thought today to sell my SB2 and put a down payment on a white on white LB100 with a GZR.... gotta get this tattoo finished and get some more finances in order first though.
I try to avoid the machismo at all costs. Being a BA sociology I am generally peeved by hypermasculinity and hegemony in general. I like the chilled out good ol boys.g
Oh man, don't get me started on metalheads. Every time I go to a metal show I fell like I'm on some retardfest.
My wife was browsing facebook a while back and someone was posting stuff about hating "girlfriend metal" (meaning stoner metal, doom, etc). I guess the joke is that's what girlfriends of "true" metalheads listen to. I said that it was more like the guys that listen to that stuff actually have girlfriends. Which isn't surprising, especially considering the glut of bands that write poopy songs about committing acts of violence/rape/mutilation toward women.
Gee Mr. Cannibal Corpse fan, can't imagine why you can't get a lady - maybe crank up "shaged with a Knife" or "She was asking for it" a little louder....
