I suppose it depends on what all will be going through the PA - if it's just vocals, then that's easy. Vocals and kick - still somewhat easy. Anything beyond that and things get complex quickly. I would say yes, IF - (big if) there's someone there that can at least give you a 10 minute rundown of what to do, and knows how all of the equipment operates.

It wouldn't be impossible, but it may not be the easiest either. You've read all the sound guy stories from pretentious people on TB. I know I am guilty to a point.

Id recommene watching some youtube videos on basic pa operation like how to ring out the system etc. Especially if its gonna be much in the pa. I wouldnt say its mega difficult but you do have to understand what the knobs do.

Hes right though. Ive been to a couple shows where even standing next to the booth it was uncomfortably loud. Like he wanted the experience of standing up front all the way in the back.

I always wondered why shows didn't put another array about halfway to the back of the venue to provide more sound further back, instead of blasting only from FOH array to try to reach the back.

Timing. The two signals arrive out of sync to anybody in earshot of the second set. Unless you've a fancy processor to delay the second set of speakers.

Dammit Julian beat me too the punch.

Last night twas fun. Singing for the first time went perfectly fine. Wasnt nervous really, just went and did it. Ended up borrowing an mojo'd 810 from one of the bongzilla guys, who also really dug our set and we were gear nerding for quite awhile...he was running a Green full stack and a Model T into the 810 for his DOOM pop duo DOS MALES, which I think is better described as DANK PO)))P. Dank buds, dank tone.

I'm super excited for Fister's upcoming Euro tour. The dudes are very cool guys and definitely have worked their asses off to get where they are. New Fister is 44 minutes of awesome.

Actually after two years I finally did get a response from them. I told them what was wrong with the strings, and how I had contacted them. Got a brush off response. If anything it soured me more to them.

Damn, I am sorry you have had such a negative experience(s) with them. They are definitely challenged by CS, but every set I have received was without flaw. I need to find some more accessible strings that I do not hate. DR fat beams are my #2. I used to be into hi-beams, but the slapping has mostly parted from my play/practice routine and I am not really fond of the hi-beams for doomy sounds.

Yeah, I've had some conversations about making official demo clips and videos with a couple builders recently. The only issue with doing the kind of semi-pro review thing is I have zero experience with video and I have no money to buy effects regularly. So the whole Youtube video channel thing would be kind of a stretch, though I have been considering it and looking into what I would need to try it out. I would definitely get into making high quality official demo clips for builders by commission or maybe for trade. That's the kind of thing I could expand easily into guitars, pickups, amps and maybe even speakers with the setup I have.
