Ive owned two wicks now, an early FNA and one of the newer really well made rockbass corvettes. Loved them, loved that wick tone playing by myself but it never fit in the band mix how I like. Dont regret selling them, more so regret trading the bass previous I had for the rockbass. I think thats because they werent THE wick I want. Someday I buy another but it wont be any old wick this time. This time itll be a late 90s BO Thumb.

Ive found the key to making a warwick fit a mix is to cut 250hz. They have ALOT going on there.

I haven't been around much when talk of the Bronco has occurred. Please talk me through it. I saw a pic of it you posted recently.

I saw it in a pawnshop for $200+ for over a year, then on Halloween 2011 I walked in said I had exactly $90 and wanted it and got it. It had been in the display window so the neck is nicely yellowed yet it was perfectly setup when I got it and remains so to this day.

I added a 10k GFS little killer rail pickup, 500k audio pots, a kill switch (that's never used lol) and the most important part, the tone switch. The switch in its regular down position has a .001 cap across it similar to the ric bridge cap but not the same value. Basically this removes some lows always from the circuit. I play with my fingers over the neck and that gives a bit more pick like clarity and spank while also limiting premature fart or breakup from sub lows. Then when switch up that cap is replaced with a .1 cap that cuts all the highs. And is a super vintage dubby tone. The tone knob is always wide open, as if used its a .033 and acts as a mid cut, so I hardly use it.

Also Home Depot washer strap locks, all together probably $120 into the bass and it's my favorite always.

I'm 6'1 and I learned on a p bass and stuck to full scales a whiles. Then i had a japanese mustang i got for free (kinda). I fell in love with the size but not the tone. The bronco is rigged up to sound more like a full scale played with a pick while giving me my preferred scale and finger style play.

Bridge has never caused me trouble, but I've never had to do anything but raise the screws for higher action.

Rail pickup is absolutely great.

I sanded the face off and sprayed it black then an ex used a paint pen to write bronco on there, then clear coat.

The rockmaster/dually rig is mucho badassimo. I need a foot switch to turn the distortion on/off, but 120 tube watts is damn nice. Clean and loud or raging and loud. Dialed it in nice this morning.

It's a keeper.

Broke a string last GH practice...think I may go with some 115s for C Standard/Drop A# instead of 110s...

Ive tried the bottom four strings of a 5 string set and cant handle those steel gerders.

Just got the black beauties in order and threw in a GHS Boomer B string, since I already had a four string set. So many useless G strings...

Can't wait for the Cannabis Cup Kickoff party this Friday. Never heard of a bong keg, but apparently they will have one.

Killer! I recently scored an acoustic for $50 and an old Lotus Strat copy for $25. Don't play much guitar but I like to have at least an electric for recording loud shrieking noise and an acoustic for occasionally pretending I'm Woody Guthrie.

My Strat is also white like yours but maple board.

The ATKs B string went all floppy, must be the changing seasons. I put flats back on it, B is nice and tight. Haven't tried those strings with the SVT, should sound pretty Geezer at tomorrow's jam.

Had a mini freak out searching for the funky 120v Class 2 power supply for the Rane PE17 I'm selling on Thursday. After tearing through storage boxes of garbage I need to sort or throw out I found it. Right on the top bay of my tool box. Whewwwww... Didn't want the buyer to back down on agreed price or loose the sale. Especially since this silly thing uses a 6 pin RJ11 for input.

So new string day, got some GHS Bass Boomers 50-115, they definitely boom! I dont know whether its just the new strings or its these GHS Bass Boomers, normally a EB slinky guy, but they are LOUD. They make that old dimarzio P pup in my matsumoku uber hot, I had to actually back off the volumes on the Phase wizard to offset the extra hotness. The 50-115s are perfect for C standard for me.
