Maybe he is going to play out some kidnapping scenario with the guitar, you will have to drive all over receiving calls at pay phones.
If you want to see this Danelectro alive you will go to this phone but make sure you are wearing Daisy Dukes, now go to this phone and dress like Bruce Jenner, and don't play coy you know which Bruce Jenner I am taking about...

That Magnum with sliders reminded me of my first bass.

It was Polish and, as the legend said , they were made not by luthiers but by carpenters.
Neck on mine was bowed so much that I could use it as a bow.
Oh well, what did I know, I was 16 or something.
Mine wasn't black though, it was shvtburst (it definitely didn't have anything to do with sun).

Looks way cool, lots of mojo, it plays half way decent, hopefully is sounds as cool as it looks. It is gonna need a new bridge, Im thinking something big and brass and total screw replacement job. The medium scale feels nice and not too short. Should be perfect for standard/half step down. I might have found myself a gem...

Speaker question for those more knowledgable than I. Do any of you think that a Sunn 215b would pair well with a deuce of faitals? I have heard that 3015s actually do pair quite well with that cab design, but haven't heard much about the faitals. I am pretty speaker tech ignorant and that sim program that you guys use is a few pegs above my head. I have this 215b with a black widow and a legend in it and I am thinking about selling of the speakers and installing better drivers.

Well, it's official - I'm going to try out Joe's other band and see how it goes. Two guitarists, one dude sings, 12 songs done and fairy polished. Thinking about adding keys, or having one of the guitar dudes switch off.

No recordings to speak of, so I'll be learning on the spot. Shouldn't be too difficult, but I'd like to have something to listen and practice with first. Oh well, it's not like I'll be playing King Crimson or something...

Another thing is road worthiness. We occassionally hit the road and do plenty of local shows, so while this thing doesn't live in a trailer, it does get moved around a lot. For local shows I put in the back of my Subaru and all is well. Except that it already looks beat to poopie; worse than any of my cabs/amps that are over 20 years old. The screws that hold the corners protectors in are too short and have essentially weasled themselves out. Going to be buying new duratex, corners, and longer screws, and a new Kappalite and refinishing this thing. THen getting rid of it. I'm not rough with my equipment, at all, but this thing is not meant for ANY kind of abuse.

Spent the day off wanting to figure out what's going on. Looked up a couple threads about buzzing speakers and, unless there is an obvious tear in the speaker, the recommendations come back to making sure all screws, etc are all the way in. So, I started with making sure everything was tight. Well, half the effing screws needed to be retightened; some of them, specifcally around the corners, strip at the very sight of a screw driver. I understand I'm working with a softer wood, so I can't torque the shvt out of stuff, but this is ridic.
Screws are just coming loose from playing!!!! It wasn't the speaker, but the screws mounting the speakers that are vibrating. I'm beyond a little upset. I am going to have to add some wood glue, or monitor screws for the life of this cab. Just not acceptable. I really don't get how others aren't having this problem. No cab I've owned, some of which are almost 40yrs old, have this problem.
Lightweight can suck a dvck.

That sucks dude. I can think of some lasting fixes for that, but who wants to go through a ton of trouble to fix something you already paid good money for?

That cabinet should have had hurricane nuts or Tnuts, IMO.

I don't like drivers mounted with screws. Even if they're special screws.
