So sorry to hear it, brother. Pets are just like family members in my book. Nothing to say that won't sound anemic and generic, but you shared good time together, made each other's lives better and when she has departed this veil she will become a part of everything.

So, a scene friend just got one. He plays guitar in a couple different projects, and bass in my guitar player's crusty black doom band. He let my guitar player use it for our last practice and it sounds like a monster. He was using on guitar, but it sounded great.

Side note, guitar player's hovercraft is going back. After the initial issue with the caps, and then a mix up in customer service, he is officially done. So, he's getting a weber kit to build. Extra money is going towards vinyl. This is going to come out sooner than we planned. Just waiting for all the funds to transfer around. Then we'll meet with our producer to make sure everything is exactly where we want it. Like a final listening party at the studio, but just the band. Then that final will go to the plant along with art my guitar player did, for the final release. So damn excited right now!

Test mix for a new MDT tune; we went in a weirdo fuzzy/synthy direction. I'm pretty happy with how the bass fuzz turned out.

Falcon. Which sucks because another guitar player in town has been using his for a couple years now. My guitar player was extremely stoked. Was, key word.

Just got back from the emergency vet, my 11 year old golden is on her last days...

When I lost my little fuzzy buddy I think it was harder than most people I've lost.
Its a part if this thing called life, but a real crappy part. Hope you're ok and give em as much love as you can.

One the guitarists in the doom band has a hovercraft something or other. He said that it started life as a Peavey and the hovercraft folks modded it into its current form. It's an interesting business model and I'm glad that they're trying to costs down, but i keep hearing stories like yours that make me wonder if they wouldn't be better off building amps from scratch. Prices would go up, I'm sure, but i just don't know how sustainable their current business will be.

We can test her further to find out origin ($$$) of cancer, but the very experienced veterinarian showed us the X-rays. Started as bone cancer in ribs and spread to lungs. Lots of cysts all over her body. She can't keep food down. Puking clear liquid. It's not good. We can try and give steroids which may make her have an appetite, but she might not be able to keep food down. So, yeah... This fvcking blows.

This is so sad- i'm very sorry to hear it. Try and enjoy the time you have left with her to the fullest.

Sorry to hear that man. It's really hard to say goodbye to pets that have been such a deep part of your life for so long. On the other hand, it's kind of a blessing to be able to say goodbye, show them how much you care about them and enjoy their company before it's time to let them go. Our dogs are getting up there in years, so I've been thinking about how it's going to go down in our house eventually.

It was the other band that imploded, was supposed to have my first practice with them tomorrow (they were the straight up stoner band with an album's worth of material).

Doom band that's had a couple of practices is supposedly still on, if dudes show up.

Third project with my old drummer and his other band should get going next month.

Keeping my head down- moving forward..

Got a lyric writing session with the new band today. Hopefully me and the singer can smash this all out and get some gigs soon!
