Stoner/Doom Bassists Thread, Part 90: Maxed Out

just got back from seeing Black Pussy. pretty good show and turnout. crowd was enthusiastic and really into it. I wish this band would stop it with the 70s shtick. the clothes, sunglasses, amps and even the white coilled cables. it's a bit much, just play your songs. they don't need the gimmicks.

regardless, fun night of jams, beer, perogies, NBA Jam, Star Trek TNG pinball and bumped into lots of people I haven't seen in a while. nice to catch up...getting old sucks

The clothes are cheesy but coil cables rock, and they have the sunn equivelant to my PVYHenge.

they weren't any louder than any of the other bands. so Snnhenge is also just for visual effect.

I imagine that GH is no louder than most LOUD bands, its just that were only a two piece thats as loud as a normal full band. And if visuals werent important I wouldnt have a wall of matching old PVYs.

Dont know why Im defending them and myself like youre bashing them or something, oh wait its the internet TAKE MY OPINION AND DEEP THROAT IT AND LIKE IT YOU MAPLE LEAF LOVER!!! Haha

i think visuals are important, I mean look at my rig...but i think they take it too far. they're a hop skip and a jump away from being Kiss.

At a party last night leela met a really hot chick. Then a less attractive girl with a boyfriend came up to steal her away and leela play bit her away and I got the number of cutey while the other tended to her wounds.

Bad dog leela... But thanks.

Also met a girl with aspergers, I've only met guys with it before. Gotta say a she probably wasn't as high on the spectrum as them, but she was awesomely funny and witty, and I can't say that about many people.

Just got back from the emergency vet, my 11 year old golden is on her last days... :(

So sorry to hear it, brother. Pets are just like family members in my book. Nothing to say that won't sound anemic and generic, but you shared good time together, made each other's lives better and when she has departed this veil she will become a part of everything.

Sh!t news, be well. 11 seems a bit young. I lost my dog (blue heeler/border collie mix) at 9.
We can test her further to find out origin ($$$) of cancer, but the very experienced veterinarian showed us the X-rays. Started as bone cancer in ribs and spread to lungs. Lots of cysts all over her body. She can't keep food down. Puking clear liquid. It's not good. We can try and give steroids which may make her have an appetite, but she might not be able to keep food down. So, yeah... This fvcking blows.
