Stoner/Doom Bassists Thread, Part 90: Maxed Out

Couple of Epi Rippers on Reverb at the moment WITH hard cases. I'm cashing in my retirement from my last job to catch up with some bills.

I was planning on getting my mexi P bass outta pawn with some of that scratch, but I may, just maybe, get another Ripper instead if I can swing it...

Hmm...

ON EDIT- Actually I should fugg off that idea and finally get an amp. Should just fix up my Lotus P and the SX...already got most of the parts I need...and get an amp. Otherwise be waiting until early next year for amplificationage.

I LOVE Dismember, still have the first 3-4 albums. Got the Pieces EP when i was 12 or 13, just going on the cover alone, still my favorite release of theirs. Those first two Entombed albums are really good, too.

Love them. As for Entombed, i dig their later death n roll stuff best.

Since we're on a little band talk, anyone here into real early White Zombie? When they were more of a bizarro noise band? I'm talking the Soul Crusher album and the singles and eps prior to that...Psycho Head Blowout and such like...

I like the first couple Zombie records. Very groovy stuff, and IMO, very stoner rock.
The noise stuff is weird.

Just got back from a weekend up nort at the fams cabin in Park Falls, brought the lady up for her first time in the nort woods. Twas fun, lots of drinking and fishing. The fishing coulda been better but I caught 2 small nothern pikes, fried up the bigger of the two for a lunchtime snack. The lady almost caught her first fish, I say almost cause she didnt get it into the boat, she had lots of fun, not too much complaining. We did catch a BEAUuuuuuutiful sunset on the lake though...

Nice. Grew up in St. Paul and did an awful lot of fishing back then. Never seemed to catch anything but walleye though!

Your girl is a real natural beauty with a sweet face. I mean that in the most respectful, innocent and uncreepy, non-stalkerish way possible.

In all seriousness in mixed company I am a god damn gentleman, and treat ladies right. In more selective company, I loose the filter. In those cases, it doesnt matter which species you are, as my lack of class knows no bounds.

Fix up lotus and buy an amp is what i would do.
