Stoner/Doom Bassists Thread, Part 90: Maxed Out

Way to go on cutting the weight, Janitor!! I too have made some changes. Ecig, green smoothies, no booze, no fast food, no soda.
I need to dial in the meals to cut out the bread, keeping rice and potatoes. Also need to figure out how to make myself eat more veggies. I'll do salads but that will only last so long. I'm not a fan of cooking or preparing food, generally. Lots of pot roast and red beans n' rice for dinner right now.
It's a step in the right direction. Pants are getting lose already.
Integrating some yoga soon. I really want to get my food situation in order and somewhat on auto-pilot before I do exercise. Thinking about a bike as well. Once I sell off a bunch of stuff and pay off the credit card... ie. when summer is over :p

Also been digging on Sasquatch's two newest albums, which I didn't even know existed. Haven't listened to them in a while.

Any other suggestions for some "Fuzzy Butt Rock" or other catchy/fun stoner rock with some good singing? Obviously not looking for the deepest lyrical content. haha

Roadsaw, Lo-Pan, Wo Fat, Gozu, Clamfight, Halfway to Gone.

Red Giant, Dusfunctional Majesty. Listening to it now. More in the stoner Rock side, than the stoner metal side. Blind Dog and The Atomic Bitchwax are also faves.

The boys are back in town...

MACE is finally back from the tech and the PA200 is back from CO, my dad drove and brought it with to jam with my cousins at the fambly reunion.

Beginning of 2010 I weighed 460. Heaviest I ever got.

Two months ago, down to 258. Weighing in at 247 now.

20 pant sizes so far.

As of midnight tonight, one week without a puff of a cigarette.

Been using snus and will probably still smoke a pipe a couple times a month, but hope to kick cigs for good. I was well under half a pack a day anyway.

Anyone here ever into The Lee Harvey Oswald Band?

Couple albums in the 90s. Sort of a joke glam rock band, but very good. Rock and fvcking roll. Faded pre-internet and just kinda fell through the cracks. Fun stuff...I hardly know anyone who's even heard of them.

That is fvcking awesome. i could stand to lose an extra person or so, but can't really get motivated, but stories like that help.

Well the Megalith clone has been paid for and is shipping to me on Monday. Should be here Tuesday. Beyond stoked.

Also: guitarist told me recently what's going on with our previous drummer as they are generally closer friends than me and him.
He was a computer graphic designer when he was living in Warsaw and playing with us, then when the things got flaky he moved to his hometown 60 miles away to be with his girlfriend, who, as he claimed, couldn't live here.
He was still working with computer graphics there, but it turns out he ditched the job recently, cut most of his contacts with friends, disappeared and now he's running a yoga school with his girlfriend. Go figure...

Typical doom drummers.

Stumbled on these guys the other day, just simple surfer stoner rock but enjoying them.

So, I'm having random, non-specific GAS attacks. I just want to buy SOMETHING. Maybe dirt related? But affordable, like $100 tops. I've recently been trying new fuzz sounds, but nothing sounds as good as my GK Rails Pedal. Unfortunately, it keeps breaking down on me. I think it's beyond my abilities to fix at this point. Is there anything else that has that sound?

EDIT: Anything besides my GK heads, of course. Pedal format. And the switchable boost kinda makes it for me.
