Well the Megalith clone has been paid for and is shipping to me on Monday. Should be here Tuesday. Beyond stoked.

Also: guitarist told me recently what's going on with our previous drummer as they are generally closer friends than me and him.
He was a computer graphic designer when he was living in Warsaw and playing with us, then when the things got flaky he moved to his hometown 60 miles away to be with his girlfriend, who, as he claimed, couldn't live here.
He was still working with computer graphics there, but it turns out he ditched the job recently, cut most of his contacts with friends, disappeared and now he's running a yoga school with his girlfriend. Go figure...

So, I'm having random, non-specific GAS attacks. I just want to buy SOMETHING. Maybe dirt related? But affordable, like $100 tops. I've recently been trying new fuzz sounds, but nothing sounds as good as my GK Rails Pedal. Unfortunately, it keeps breaking down on me. I think it's beyond my abilities to fix at this point. Is there anything else that has that sound?

EDIT: Anything besides my GK heads, of course. Pedal format. And the switchable boost kinda makes it for me.

...again, just goofy stuff, but good, loud, tight rawk.

They were an offshoot of the Chicago band Didjits with a complete fake history/back story, members in drag with fake names and ridiculous costumes, songs about shooting up and prison and death glorification and skanky eroticism.

I just thought they were a hoot. Do I wanna jam it every day? No. But there are rare times when nothing else will do.

They were part of the soundtrack of my mid-1990s life...

Besides, yoga pants are forgiving of any number of other flaws.

Just sayin'....there are other things than a face to look at.

Sometimes it's even better when the face is facing away from you.

On another note just heard Eric from Attitude Adjustment just had his Marshall JCM 900 stolen. If any of you come across this head let me know!
STOLEN THIS MORNING: White Marshall JCM 900 50th anniversary guitar head (#21/50) in road case with chords, pedal, etc from Pacheco CA. Everybody PLEASE be on the lookout for this rare and unmistakeable head. Thank you.....

Damn that sucks. I have horrible images of someone masking it off and spraying the white tolex black...I've had some good gear stolen over the years. Just plain bites. Why peoples gotta suck so much?

I'm fortunate to not have had anything stolen, though I've never toured and I watch my stuff like a hawk. I have insurance but that doesn't mean much. They won't be able to replace my 2000s and the monetary value of it would be a huge kick in the stones. Basses and pedals I'm not as worried about. Really, anything that could be replaced. It's just the old stuff that I worry about.

Something for you all to chew on. Local STL guy. Most of the "in the know" guys in the doom scene here know this guy and are good buddies with him. He is how I got a brand new 4 pro for $500. Apparently this thing has sat boxed in his garage for 7-8 years totally forgotten about among his boxed 810s and other amped gear.

Man this thing is sexy.

GK sim pedal is spotty? What is it doing?

It cuts in/out sporadically when either footswitch is pressed, it pops loudly when activated/deactivated, and none of it is predictable. Contacted the builder, he's gonna fix it for me. It was his first one, so it's been a bit buggy. But it's cool having the first, so I'm keeping it. He's gonna tighten up the wiring (it's a wee bit messy as is) and give it a good check up in general. Just sucks not having it! I keep trying to use other "fuzzes", but it's just my thing. Nothing else works like it does!

Short story: it was this builder's first build of the pedal, and it's a bit messy/buggy. He's gonna fix it up for me.
