Haha, dick. It was Barry Audio. Still love it. Sometimes I get complacent with how good it sounds, and then I play a show where I share someone else's backline and I realize just how awesome the Dually is. Haven't played a single amp through it that has sounded bad. Unfortunately I haven't been able to play a tube head through it yet. But it is awesome being able to basically gig with any wattage amp.

Build time was just around a month iirc, and I believe I made a deposit to cover materials, and then completed payment when it was ready to ship.

That's a pretty Ric alright.

Mark at BNA made my two Duallies. Still love both of them, great with solid state and tube amps. I only keep my 810 around for variety, because it's sealed. I've got the sealed 415 in the works right now though.

do you find it to really be that "efficient", ie... gives you alot more volume than other cabs at the same setting? Im guessing with the LF speakers it also allows you to pump more volume before speaker fatique, correct?
is yours the all green one in his gallery?

Corey: did you get one of the fancy color scheme ones, or a basic black?
how would you guys describe the overall voicing of them ... i know.. i know...

and oh yeah.. theyre like $1050 for the basic model, how much more was the custom-ness, and how much was shipping, if you remember?

Both of mine have a definite increase in efficiency as far as volume goes. I couldn't use my Beta Bass to be loud enough to compete with two guitar full stacks and a drummer before through my 810. It's loud enough to drown out everyone else in the room with my Eminence loaded Dually. With my Traynor YBA-1, it gives me the same volume or slightly more than my 810, but with more clean headroom. It's made certain amps that I really couldn't use at high volume usable for me.

I did both of mine in all black. Can't remember what shipping was, but the fact that it was really light kept the cost reasonable. I bought two within a year from Mark, so he gave me a bit of a discount on the second one. I just looked it up in my PayPal, it was about $1175 or so with shipping on my first one, which was Eminence loaded in all black.

As far as voicing goes. Eminence...modern, slightly scooped, fat low end. Faital...more "vintage", goes higher and lower, but the lows are more tight and controlled, more mids. They're neck and neck for volume. Either way, they've both got a ton of volume and low end. Both have more highs than I'm used to with my 810, had to adjust my settings accordingly.

PS, I used mine at practice last night and I was surprised how good it sounds. I've pretty much given up on fingerstyle with it, though, because there's too much slop. Mostly picking now.

Emailed a drummer on CL that seemed like maybe could be fruitful. Said he was into noise rock and wanted to do something heavy and creative. I gave him a list of bands (Zozobra, Nice Hooves, Old Man Gloom, Yob, Young Widows) and some clips to songs I've posted here. Swing and a miss. His response was essentially "yeah, I don't know who any of those bands are. I don't think I'd be into it".

Needs a little setup and some cleaning but otherwise in great condition. Going to swap out the high gain pickup for the original and also put on the original bridge. I really don't like the hipshot bridges.

Needless to say I need to sell my 2012 4003 ASAP.

The cleaning just made me mad... And the stripped screws hurt the neck pickup and impeded adjustments needed to get even volume. I love the thing.

I do use my fingers, no pick yet. I can't see myself getting rid if it, and I use flats, once I get everything I want crammed on it it'll be played every dang day and live on happy.

The Dually doesnt use LF speakers. It uses either the Eminence 3015 or the Faital Pro 15PR400.

Most of the custom options shouldnt add much to the price. If you want some crazy color that has to be tinted for, it may add a touch. Custom wood adds some cost. Odd hardward may add a bit.

Mark at greenboy audio (formally BNA) built my DuallyT, but I have cabs from Dave Homer at Gigmaster as well. I would recommend them both, but would also recommend Joseph or Don also at greenboy Audio, or Paul at Scabby Road. All of them do great work. I would recommend you find out who has an open shop, and who is closest to you.

The 3015 is more agressive/muscular in the upper mids. The Faital is smoother in the mids, and goes lower and higher. I got the DuallyT which only uses the Faital drivers crossed over to a horn. Really great horn in that cab, but I do have an on/off switch.

I have a bunch of the Faital loaded one, I never did any head to head with the Eminence, because it mostly lives in a practice space I'm in once every couple months lol. Although, most of my other demo clips on my Soundcloud are with an Eminence Basslite 10" loaded into a ported enclosure, with the same close mic I always use. So if you compare some similar clips (pedals, basses), you'll get a general idea. The one that are with the Faital Dually are noted, almost everything else is the Basslite loaded 1x10 (unless specifically noted otherwise).
