Stoner/Doom Bassists Thread, Part 90: Maxed Out

I figured something was awry with the amp. I messaged the seller and got the expected, "I never had any issues, sorry you are experiencing them".

So SOL on that front as I don't really see any recourse. Looks like I'll have to save my pennies and hope it gets fixed in under an hour or two. Beyond that I guess I'll have to sell it for parts or scrap and look for another cheap power amp.

I do still stand by my opinion that class D is not as loud watt for watt as any alternative power source. Hopefully I can be proven wrong.

It's a long shot but is there any chance it's still under factory warranty?

Edit: looked it up, 5 year warranty, non transferable.

I had assumed he no longer has it, but have inquired. I will not be surprised at all if he bought it used. Pure speculation, but I wouldn't be surprised if he got it used, experienced some problems and then passed it on before it got to bad. I'd like to think people wouldn't do stuff like that, and it's just as likely that he didn't, but my faith in the goodwill of others is not that strong.

Our boss feels music is unprofessional for healthcare and doesn't allow us to listen on headphones or speakers. Which is funny because every single nurse/tech/doctor listens to headphones all the time.

you should let your boss know that in Chinese medicine one of the things a doctor will ask a depressed person or someone lethargic is "when did you stop enjoying music?".
the inability to appreciate music is a symptom of illness to them.

Get that man some kava.

uh oh... I asked the wrong question, huh?
Nah. Squanch is just totally happy with Kava, and he's urging us all to give it a whirl.

It's a root that you grind up and boil off to make a tea of sorts. It gives a real feeling of calm and keeps your head clear. Sort of like all the good of the green without all the muzzy-headedness.

my new lens is on the way, now i can take extreme close up pictures of the veins in your eyeballs, played bass for the first time in ten days, think we're just going to do a brutal noise drone for the halloween show, the singer can read a poem about samhain, i get tired of playing the same songs over and over again and most of the time being frustrated that they sound like we haven't played together very long

Thinking about buying a modern NYC Muff to use for a mod platform. Anybody have one taking up space that they don't want?

I saw a couple of cool mods done by FXDoctor to NYX muffs, one was putting a rat pedal inside the BM and the other was putting a DOD EQ pedal inside. With all that extra space, it seems like a pretty cool project.
