You need to find some guy in your office or a friend who's in awe of you being in a band and say come help me load in and sell merch man it'll be a killer show. Dream made and load made lighter.
Usually that ploy only works once...

I know. Maybe I should stick with the tubes until I'm old and actually can't lift it anymore.B-b-but the tubes!
In all honesty, I'm starting to think about getting a lighter amp, too.

Here it is for sale.
Headphone out, too? hmmmmmm, this is interesting.
Wonder if it handles 2Ohm loads....
Apparently this crate has a switching power supply, that's weird right?
Thanks for the opinions guys. I guess I should really just try one out before I do anything I'll regret. The price\look\size of the Orange and the fact that a lot of you guys use them is just really appealing to me. I have no interest in the class D Ampeg stuff.
Nah, it's gaining popularity and has been used in power amps for several years now. Basically the power supply switches off whenever it isn't needed - which can be multiple times a second - thus reducing heat build up and increasing efficiency.
EDIT: Link explains better than I do: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Switched-mode_power_supply
The crate is the $50 50 watt 6l6 based amp I got too yesterday. Sounds great so zero complaints I just read something if that nature and felt around and only felt one big tranny in there.

Personally the next non-Dunwich amp I'd get is an Aggie DB750/751.
Seriously though dudes......would I miss my Fender Bassman 300 Pro that much if I sold it to fund a Terror Bass 1000???
