Me thinks in 2-7 days he'll reach out. But by then I may only have $40-$45
I just picked up an Ibanez Echo Shifter. Really liking it a lot, but I keep hearing about them breaking? Anybody have one that's still going strong? Hopefully mine lasts a long time because I really like the sounds I am getting from it.
I just never associate Harris tone with flats. In general flats have higher tension right? I've never used them but lately have been curious.
3 am here, staying up all night finishing my forensics essay, reading such riveting papers as 'Forensic entymology of decomposing humans and their decomposing pets', 'How hard is hard enough? Lateral blunt force trauma on the human cranium', and 'Effects of tepid liquid and humidity on human decomposition'.

My wife is an autopsy tech, so this sounds like normal dinner conversation to me.
I feel like the best way to get away with it is assigning me to the case while Im sleep deprived and the rugby is on.

Pedal dilemma - do I get the local(ish) OC-2 for $80 plus tax, or do I get the DOD Octoplus for just under $50, but have to wait a few days? I really don't think I'd ever used the 2nd octave lower, but I can get it today... Decisions, decisions.

last night i got a new tone during the set with the doom band, as result of a combination of beer and strobe lights, midway though the set i was playing the bridge pickup on the L2k with the bridge pickup selected and really new strings, which made for this piercing static blast tone, i must have bumped the pickup selector and moved my hand after doing the dueling volume knob twirls with the other bassist like fugazi, he was playing his bc rich mockingbird through the behringer superfuzz into the acoustic 150b sounded like a vacuum cleaner from hell, while the singer played the theremin through the PA, i liked the drum machine a lot, because when we would really lock into it we would get this tribal drone floating thing going on which made all the stoners sway back and forth appreciatively
the goth country post punk instrumental thing went smoother, the guitarist was using his 70s ampeg 410 combo which was so loud it would intermittently drown out the drum machine and for good measure he was bouncing the vox ac 15 off a corner of the room to get this kind of echo type chorus thing at times, kind of made me think of medicine's more noisey stuff, i just play more straight forward country and trip hop bass lines in this project to distinguish it from the other band

I currently use that as my octave pedal. If you have it on setting 7, it does octave and something else, and I just zeroed the other thing and it's just octave now. But of course, it can do a WHOLE LOT more, so dig in and have fun. I really like my BSW for fun, weird stuff.
I've come to the conclusion that there is no such project 'cause of no samples put up here. So there. Neener.

Just back from band practice. I put flats back on the ATK and it sounds awesome with the SVT. Also rearranged the pedal board to fit the OD Glove, which just sounds killer as a very slightly dirty boost. Wasn't liking it much lately, but with flats and the tube amp it's really great. MXR M85 is back to high gain si diode dirt and the bazz is still the bazz. Really happy with everything right now.
Trying to get a boost for a solo, but don't want to buy a boost pedal and can't fit anything else on the board if I wanted to. Hoping for it to also double as another OD setting as well. I have an ODB-3 and Joyo American. Which would be better for a (dirty) solo boost, and about where to start settings-wise? Right now, the ODB-3 is leading for sheer nasty treble content to cut through.
Also, DIY pro-tip. If you have one of the old DOD pedals with the notorious battery door, you can get the doors to be more secure (assuming, of course, yours still HAS the battery door).
Here's how:
Stick the non-clamping end of a spring clothespin (or something else small enough to just barely fit) into the "spring" part of the battery door and heat it with a hair dryer for a minute or two. It'll expand the "spring" back to a wider opening and keep the door secure. I just tried it out with the BiFet Boost I just bought and it worked like a charm!
