Yea fb is a pain. I want to delete jt but its so difficult to promo bands and keep in touch with overseas friends otherwise.
In other news, my bass head crapped out and I need to find a new one before my next gig in jan. So hard tk find a cheal used one in oz, and just as I am spending cash on xmas and going to europe :$

May be road tripping to Chicago in a week to buy a 2000s cab with OG cerwin vegas. People on the Sunn worship FB page were scoffing at the $600 price tag. I think they are nuts considering the rarity of the cab. They seem to think they are worth as much as a B215 or other 70s/80s era Sunn cabs. Maybe it is worth less, but at the deal I'll be getting it will still be 3-400 bones cheaper than building one. I talked the guy down since I'll be making a journey out of it. Plus I can sell the OG CVs. So it seems like if those drivers do sell I could get the box for like $200-$300. Worth it to me to see my 2000s proudly atop a K140 2000s cab as it should be.
This boat I have been in for 2 years now. Much suck. Really hoping Mrs. Muddslide lands this job. Tired of struggling and juggling every month just trying to get bills paid.

as long as your privacy settings are set, you can make it so the only thing anyone can see on FB, that isn't your friend, is your name.
and thats the problem! I have a guy that once attempted to murder me, and who was obsessed with my wife stalking her for years. I have made myself invisible online. If you google me, even with my home town and profession you get ZERO hits on google for me. Well, actually, you get hits for a guy in Texas who isnt me. BUT Facebook has dropped or manipulated their privacy settings so many times that I can not trust them to ensure that. I am NOT putting my name on the worlds biggest social media site to make it easy for this guy to find my family when he gets out in a few years.
@askrere Thought I would post these two documentaries since they remind me of your pics. The Walk Across Arizona is on youtube and Unbranded is on Netflix. The Unbranded one is kind of full of guys who like to hang around Tractor Supply but you can put it on mute and just watch the scenery as they ride mustangs from Mexico to Canada.

I don't do Facebook for the same reasons. Too easy for Simple Joe to look you up and harass you. Never had an account, expect I never will.
Lots of people have tried contacting me through my wife's Facebook. I've emailed a few most are just ignored. I guess with the Mrs. on FB there is no real security but at least people don't bother me.
Looking at these pics just reminds me how much I miss the deserts! 18 years ago I hitchhiked across America and spent about a month and a half camping out in Arizona mostly. One of the most challenging but best times in my life. After a week you start to lose any distinction between yourself and the vast beauty around you.... or maybe I was getting heat stroke. I dunno.

Yep when it hits, I go pick up the bass, click on the MXR Slash Octave Fuzz or the Boss ODB-3, the Small Stone, and the Ibanez Echo Shifter and drone my little heart off as the kava makes my ears ring.
See any lizards or snakes? I would love to see a Gila Monster or a Chuckwalla in the wild.
