Went back to turning up preamp gain and using Master to control volume, it sounds really good that way too, think I'll keep it that way for a while.
Solid practice, got a 40 minute set down, with a prior agreement on the shorter alternative version.
Snowing and freezing rain on the interstate on the drive home, that sucked.

It didn't even freeze here this year. I saw a Junebug last Sunday... The bugs are going to suck this year. I think we're in for a scorcher this summer.
Neurosis and Sleep and Vhol were awesome.
Also Al's wizard beard has reached epic proportions.
I have the Shifter Classic. Was looking to get an MIA P, but couldn't find one that felt "right", mostly the neck. They had the Godin at one store, so I gave it a try. It came home with me, and no regrets. Easily the equal of the MIA in terms of fit, finish, pup's, etc. Very versatile, well made, quality North American instrument, made in Canada. And the best part, at least for me, is the neck. New they are a bit cheaper than the MIA, but used they are quite a bit less. Am very happy with mine, will not be looking for an MIA any time soon.
I like the specs on the radius. How thin is the neck front to back? Jazz or more modern Ibanez?
Drove a 2010 Transit Connect today feels and basically is my current Focus Wagon but 3 years newer, 30 thousand less miles, and WAYYYY more room. Enough room to fit everything inside without having a cab on the roof. It checks all the boxes Im looking for, not white (its silver), it has rear and side door windows, under 100k miles and isnt a beat to poopie construction work van. Its been on the lot for 2 months and they just dropped the price by $1000 to make it $10,999. And Id get about $1500-$2000 on trade in of my Focus. Only thing holding me back is its a big purchase for just getting back to work from being unemployed although making the payments wouldnt be an issue now with this job. Walked away today, if its still there tuesday I may try low balling them for $9500 hoping for $10000. If I can get it for $10000 I think Im gonna do it...
Everyone around me isnt advising against the purchase but more questioning why i would want drive something like that as a DD. Well the fact I can fit all of PVYHenge and a whole drum kit in it trumps all.

It was a tigher ride than the lady was this morning after shark week...
Rode pretty much the same as my focus wagon only a bit more pokey because of the bigger and heavier body and the same exact engine.
Man, regular TB sucks. Bunch of old farts who can't get their heads around anyone actually wanting loud rigs.

I can't stand tort, and I don't really like flats.
Red tort just reminds me of that time I vomited blood. Which is metal, sure, but not something I want to think about.
I actually do like tort and flats
