Cool, I'll keep my eyes open. Hartke's are weird here in that everyone seems to have one, but I've never seen a shop sell them.
Like how jazz basses apparently sound monstrous in series? Interesting...
They're great amps, not a lot of features, but they're loud and have all the clean headroom you could ever want. I have the LH1000 and it's stupid loud. It's also an excellent pedal platform.
Found out a small business idea I had bypasses all health and human services codes so I can run it from my house. Basically a packaged food cart to sell at the locals bars. Basically got the "cart" Doing costing and bar approval talks are this week. If it works I can part time do that or hire my friends/students to do it if profitable (we'd start an llc and I guess I'd hire them as contractors?).
Ugh, there's a beautiful lefty 70s Fernandes P bass up for sale locally. I've been repeating like a mantra for a few days now: "I don't need another P, I don't need another P..."

The way my two dingwall basses are wired right now, I have a rotary switch to jump between series and parallel options. Much more useful to me than a pan pot.

What's up guys?!?! Been out of this thread for some time. I check it every once in a while but I don't know what the hell you're all talking about anymore.
Got my bands working on albums and been building pedals to keep busy (see the link in my sig).
Asthma Castle is working with a new singer and we hope to be back in the game this summer. I started another project as sort of a noise rock thing but it has morphed into something that's simply heavy and a little off balance. I've been looking for bands to compare to for inspiration but haven't found what I'm looking for yet.
Man...I miss playing shows.

So I bought one of these enclosures, 1 of 3.
Any ideas for what to load in it?
I'm thinking an IC muff, or possibly another green Russian with a blend and higher gain this time. I'm also looking into some micro PCBs so I could do a rat + muff with clean blend and still manage to squeeze it all in. Possibly go for a Cisneros box with a DOD 250 and a DS1.
Throw the ideas out there hive mind!

****! That's damned brilliant. I've never heard a Burns Buzzaround, but it hardly matters. It's too perfect a fit for the art. Done deal. Now just to listen to clips to decide if a clean blend would be required to keep the lows with a C tuned bass.
Yup. Acquiring cool instruments gets really hard when you're lefty.
And I'm the nastiest kind of lefty. No way to play righty. I guess I'd learn to play with my feet faster than righty.
I don't know W-T-F you're talking about but my name is Burns and I think it's a great idea and I'm all for it.
It's a rare vintage fuzz. Apparently a blend between a tone blender and a fuzz face. Looks like it's center positive which is a bummer, but it as a voltage inverter so use with a standard center negative is possible. I'm not sure how that will interact with a clean blend board.
Only problem with Cisneros in a box is that both boards would be incredibly tight in a 1590bb. That may be a project for a bigger box.
Some of those Fernandes/Burny knock-offs are better than the original.
I've always had a soft spot for Fernandes ever since my first guitar, a green Dragonfly.
Almost pulled the trigger on a new Triturador a few years ago but I couldn't get past the weird fret markers. I'm not sure Fernandes even operates here in the states anymore.
Bummer news, the used PT we found for the VTA is faulty...calling Pvy to see if they have any, otherwise what was already billed for an under $300 rebuild will turn into $500+. Crossing my fingers they have some NOS PTs. But im suuuper bummed that I wont be able to use it this weektha, was looking forward to the first full tube henge.
