Yeah either a natural finish or a dye and clear coat. I cant decide which i want. I also am not sure what wood im going to make it out of since its 5foot 6 inches tall and baltic birch ply, which i had planned on using, only comes on 5ft by 5ft. Got any recommendations?

BB ply comes in 4'x8' sheets. I would use 1/2" ply and brace it.
I went through so much pedals past three years that I barely remember what I went through.
Right now, apart from dirt, I've got chorus, flanger and a bassballs clone. I'm using bassballs with flanger and in conjunction with dirt to get a swirly, synthy sound in one song, bu I'm recently considering a synth pedal to downsize my board.
I used to have a plethora of delays, phasers and octavers, but I never found any use for them. I'm trying to fit a reverb somewhere in our sound right now, but as we're still on hiatus due to drummer's depression, I mainly buy more and more stuff I can play alone with.
I still havent found any solid cored "baltic birch" in 4x8, ive seen it with a poplar center, but not using birch laminates like real BB Seems like this appleply stuff is what Im looking for though.

I have seen 4x8 at lowes around here. Not sure what would be available in your area.
Ill keep looking around. Though the appleply seems like a good way to go assuming the price isnt ridonculous.
I appreciate your help. Im worried if those plastic handles would hold up the 140 pounds that this cabinet is likely to be.
The dish is plastic, but the handles are not. If you are anchoring them in to the bracing they shouldnt be a problem. I find them a lot easier to use than the deep D dish style handles.

Ive also thought about doing the electric amp style cut in handles. Like this:
Do you not like them due to something wrong with their function or because of how they look? I dont mind how they look, but ive never actually had to use handles like that.
Function is the problem for me. I find they put all the weight of the lift on the tips my fingers, and little on the palm. I have those dish handles vertical on each side of my Dually, and really appreciate the hammer grip I can get on them.
Also, dont be shy with your handles, putting some towards the bottom will help who ever is helping you navigate stairs.

Really diggin the handle placement on the dually. Maybe do a combination and have the dish handles at the middle and make some wide grip cutout handles for the top and bottom. Is there a reason the dish handles are cut out towards the front? Is that a weight distribution thing?

Personally, the pedal I use the most is a Chicago Iron Parachute Wah. Thing is an absolute monster pedal, both in size and function. Phase 90 is also up there, and I'd like to get some sort of Univibe at some point.

Two fold, weight distribution is just about perfect with this, but also there is a spine going down the center of those panels, so this way the dish sits next to the vertical brace, and the top and bottom are secured in to horizontal braces.
