Stoner/Doom Bassists Thread, Part 90: Maxed Out

Might be shorter to list which DOD pedals you don't have...
There's another 5 or so that aren't in the pic or on any board, and a couple on my main bass and guitar boards as well. I've got about 24ish single pedals, about 20 unique circuits (a couple pedals are duplicates). There are still a handful of them I'd like to get, but nothing that I NEED. Just some I'd like to snatch if I can find them for a decent price.

So yeah, I like DOD. They're cheap, plentiful, and get the job done. I have my other boards for the serious boutique stuff, but my DOD board is fun and just works.

Now I'm off to scour the interwebs for more DOD...

Anybody get any cool stuff for X-Mas? I got a wall hanger... Which is actually good! I'm slowly running out of floor space in my rehearsal room, what with all the pedals and all, so my wife bought me a horizontal guitar hanger so I can out more guitars up above amps. I already have a few vertical hangers, but they're already taken.

I bought myself an early present with a Peavey Bandit, and I think I might just snatch up the matching extension cab too.
Got a newer computer, a record, and my drummer bought me a new cable. :D

Blasphemy!
Nah, sometimes something is so good that it kicks the other stuff off the board.

My Dunwich Muff replaced both the Swollen Pickle and Bass Big Muff that were on my board previously, as it does both those things better.

You guys already do your favorite albums of the year talk?
For me, album of the year is a tie between SubRosa's "For This We Fought the Battle of Ages" and the Cult of Luna & Julie Christmas collaboration, "Mariner."

Also worth mentioning, though:
Lament Cityscape & Theologian - "Soft Tissue"
Primordial - "Gods to the Godless: Live at Bang Your Head 2015"
Sea of Bones - "Silent Transmissions"
Worm Ouroboros - "What Graceless Dawn"
Khemmis - "Hunted"
Neurosis - "Fires Within Fires"
Inter Arma - "Paradise Gallows"
Pallbearer - "Fear and Fury"

Also I used @callofcthulhu 's SVT through my 2000S cab last night.

The bad news is I think I now need an SVT.
That cab crushes for sure.

Next time, though, let's swap - my cab(s) your head. If you love your mids, I think you'll be a 412 convert.

Of course, I think we both know deep down that what we really need is Lament's TRI-AMP rig. 412, 215, AND ported 610.

That was ridiculous. They practically brought their own PA... just for the bass.

I need to land a good job. Too bad that used SVT-2Pro at GC is probably gone now.

Looks like it's a recent one, probably East Asian in origin. I'd hold out for an SLM era one if I were buying. There's one listed now for $850 shipped For Sale - SVT II Pro USA 0 shipped or if you really wanna go into debt, spring for the handwired version: For Sale/Trade - Ampeg SVT 2 Pro Premiere Edition (#227/250) w/ Flight case, power cond, & cooling fans PRICE REDUCED

If you need help getting your cab into GC though, let me know. I'm always down to go on an adventure in search of tone.

Sadly, can't even afford the $650 one right now. :(

Didn't even know there was a handwired version. Though I have no use for a power conditioner or the fans or flight case.

finally played the sb-2 with the la bella flats through the overdriven mesa d180 finger stylle, not sure how this will will work in a band setting, but i'm pretty sure it will sound amazing when recorded, pretty articulate and punchy rock and roll grind with some vintage vibe, been determined to just use what i have to get kick buttocks tones and to avoid getting more pedals considering my constant cash crunch only relieved by art sales and gear sales

Had the first practice with the old band. They wrote 4 songs with a different bass player. 2 with me. New material being messed with. I'm a bit rusty but luckily it's nothing complicated. I know the guy who replaced me was a much better player. So now I get to hear about them missing his nuances.
I need to step up my game anyway. I didn't do myself any favors by barely practicing the past 8 months.
Besides that it went well. Definitely can't wait to get the Mesa. My back up Peavey sounds like crap in that practice space.
