So has anyone ever tried one of these? Ran across it randomly and always looking for new interesting sounds. Sounds pretty killer when he bypasses the tone stack briefly.

I dont know if your into these guys but I really dig them. I like my doom with vocals that are audible and whats cool about this bands singer is the fact he was originally in Napalm Death where the vocals were anything but audible.

EDIT: Just looked these guys up. Lee Dorian (Cathedral) and Tim Bagshaw (Electric Wizard); no wonder I dig it!

any fans of traditional doom here? Candlemass is my favorite band but I also really like Saint Vitus, Witchfynder General and band like that.

Love Trouble! Did a couple records with Bruce Franklin. A band called Generation, on Metal Blade. I played bass and co produced. My first studio also did the first Supershine recordings. Great dude and has no idea how amazing he is

That band is way too good to have been flying under the radar for as long as they did.

When I’m thinking doom/stoner, here are some of my favorites:
Candlemass
Orange Goblin
The Sword
Orchid
Witchfinder General
Grand Magus
Spiritual Beggars
St. Vitus

Those are what come to mind first. Listened to some Uncle Acid, Elder, and others on Pandora the other day. I was quite pleased. Need to listen to more of that.

I'm all for celebrating the human body, especially when female, but I cannot look at that hellish rendition of an Arby's Roast Beef sammich on yer pedal.

I have a hard time dealing with what's inw hat genre, but lately Youtube likes to feed me:



And I've been really into:

Took my amp back to the factory to finish repairs.




Also got a new pedal. Gonna try it out tonight.

i used my d180 last night at a show with with ti flats on my L2000, it surprised me how thick and heavy it sounded when using the bridge pickup
eventually i'm going to play my LB100 at a show, but the actions a little low right now and it just feels a little weird trying to play chords on it

I'm so excited about getting mine back.

The low end just feels so much different. And it responds so much differently to fuzz than my solid state amp.

I think it just looks diseased in etched form or something. Unhealthy. Unclean.

so i have not used them with the band but after about a week or so the la bella drop tune set has settled nicely. not as grippy and lost some of that high mid clank to become much more even. the thuddy E string also some how got more lively and matches the rest of the strings nicely. still needs to pass the band test but i think i may have found my drop tune set. at least for the P. testing out some roto swing bass 110-50 on the Ric. seem to be going dead quickly but i'm curious to hear how they will sound and feel when the fully settle.
