I put the pickup cover back on my 4003S (it came to me with a bezel that the previous owner had installed) because I'm a contrarian like that.

I'm glad this thread is still going, even if limping. I mostly avoided forums for at least a decade because they can take over your life if you let them. Glad I found this when I finally got around to TB.

Edit: didn't realize how long I've had an account. I don't think I used it much before last year.

Yeah, I use it as a thumb rest if I'm playing finger style down by the bridge. Or a hand rest, when playing pick style.
