One thing I can say about my iMac, I've never had a single problem with it. It's not that bold a statement though, I only use it for recording and very light internet usage. If I used it like every PC I ever owned previously, it'd probably function like a syphilitic quadriplegic with a head injury.

I would more seriously consider the idea of a hackintosh, if it didn't seem so sketchy. I have a tendency to push every piece of professional software I use to its technical limit, either on its own or with third party software and add-ons, then end up needing support for something.

I got a Mac in part because during the time when I ran three PCs into the ground, my mom had one Mac G4 Cube. I graduated college with a dying Compaq, after it replaced the previous Gateway, which in turn replaced a dead Dell, and my mom's decade old Mac was still running fine, if a little slow on newer programs.

Since I wasn't doing much PC gaming anymore, I decided that I may as well get a Mac, since I was going to be doing music stuff. Being as it's four years old now, and I've filled its hard drive too much, it doesn't run as fast as it used to, but still works pretty well. Would probably work fine if I cleaned it up a bit. I'm a bit rough on computers.

I've had my Mac desktop for close to 8 years now. Works just as well as the day I got it, the power supply failed around year 3, they replaced it for free (out of warranty).

I've also had apple replace 3 phones free of charge over the years (due to damages, that they should have charged me for a new one) . I'll keep buying their stuff, because it works and they've always treated me well.

I actually don't generally store porn on my computer. I pretty much just watch it on streaming sites.

Or I read written smut, which again, doesn't require downloading anything.

I wish it were as simple as deleting porn. I think I actually have to delete some old music projects.

Yeah, my iMac still works well too. I just know I want to step up the amount of plugins I use and do projects with more tracks and I'm already starting to have to be strategic when I use certain plugins and how I monitor when doing overdubs. If you redline the PCU meter when tracking, it will actually digitally clip the input, which is really jarring and dismaying the first time it happens on a good take. I'm running right up to the limit of what my computer can handle right now. It still works, it has no problems, but I'm out of headroom to grow.

Mac is good but it is an investment to keep up with needs. I intended the iMAC purchase for the kids to have a machine but it's not trumping the PC in the house. They want word for school work and seemingly unwilling to learn Pages. Gave up the fight. Still have it but they use it as a internet only machine. I havn't used it much for music as I intended. Was supprised I could dump memory in it from Fry's to help running snow leopard with some new periferals.

I've had 2 drum machines.
They both sounded like poop.
From my experience you're not missing much.

LOL. I worked with a kid who was in the body shop and did an old Z-24 all up and down but then he lowered it and didn't uses the refill bladders. He was all proud and said you want to go for a ride, I will show you how they work, thought was no, but he was a good guy and why burst his bubble, so I jumped in the Pimp Mobile. It was like being punched in the kidneys the whole time, and that was back in PA, the land of potholes. So just about back to the shop, and I thought he knows the pseudo speed bump thing on this street, we all drive it all the time, nope, he never slowed down, it hit so hard his dash came off and I grabbed it quick so it wouldn't interfere with his steering/driving. We had a good laugh but Ouch!

Yeah. Been there. Done that. Never again. Far too much time grinding parts with lowered cars.

Was driving over the Altamont pass a few weeks back and kep seeing sparks from a honda infront of me. He had the bloody thing so low the camber was jacked. Every dip commpressed so much he was dragging. If your going to do it do it right. Get some stiffer springs tool.

I had to warn the 18year old when he picked up his car. Any modification is a can of worms.

I usually have about 20 tracks on an average project. Sometimes less, sometimes more, usually depends on how elaborate the drums are and how many guitar overdubs there are.

2. I fuucking love sushi. Could eat it all. Every. Damn. Day.

There is local chain in Hampton Roads and Richmond called Sushi King. It's all you can eat, but not buffet crap, they bring you what you order for $15.99. I think I ate three appetizers of black peppered seared tuna with wasabi sauce and like 7 specialty rolls myself. I can't even imaging what that would of cost in my usual place that is closer to my work. I stopped and grabbed two shrimp tempura rolls from Fresh Market on the way back from the ENT last night for the ol lady and I and they were $7.50 a piece. I was like damn that is one dinner at Sushi King what a rip off LOL. Hey fat guy, you leave now, you been here for hours...

Don't like cooked fish but sashimi I love. When it's prepared well I will eat the hell out some sushi, especially love squid and octopus.
I just can't go in for the grocery store sushi its offensively bland.
