I didn't know Russell Brand played bass.
I'm almost inclined against this product due to the guy hawking it.
What's this? A bearded long-hair acting as the salesman for a product targeted at bearded long-hairs???

I know, right? One of the other demos was a guy playing RnB licks with a Fodera thru it. Sounded nice, but I kept thinking: just about every other bass amp is made for you (not YOU you, you, the guy in the video) except this one so please just play some motorhead dammit
It really has more to do with him seeming like a d bag than his appearance.
That dude had been popping up all over TB recently.

So, I modded my 420 fuzz with a clean blend this morning, and the process involves some similar things. I ended up doing a scratch build on some proto board with a JFET based buffer, but it ends up being the same overall concept with a buffer piggybacked to the pedals power jack. Here are a couple photos... I totally didn't think to get a shot of the board until after I covered it with shrink tubing, but I just soldered the power to the input jack, the input for the buffer to the switched input on the foot switch and then spiced the blend pot with the switched output.
It works pretty darn well so far and it seems to help tame this fuzz a little bit.
Second practice with the rockerverb and tge loucks on guitar. Honestly im pretty done with amps now. Between the two i feel like im in doom guitar heaven. Might buy an attenuator for the loucks tho as its pretty considerably louder than the rockerverb and hard to tame and still get a juicy tone from. As much as id love to just leave both cranked i feel like wed get banned from all the "venues" around here.

Anyone else view the "Band Management" sub-forum as an extension of the humor forum? Cuz that stuff is priceless in there and oh so entertaining.
Yes. I had never realized until I started hanging out on TB that bar gig cover bands had band leaders, and said BLs all seem to have a napoleon complex.
I didn't know that cover bands were so normal, or that everyone in them is nuts.
It's as if when people aren't focused on creating, they instantly get angry about that one dude is wearing a white $100 Affliction t-shirt instead of a black one like the rest of the band.
There are good reasons to get angry about wearing an Affliction shirt in 2018.
I won't lie, I liked the designs back when they were in, but I also know when something is past its expiration date. Which is why band shirts are awesome. They get cooler as they get older.
