I need to give that fuzzfest another listen. I made it as far as the Rat and ran into the other room to try and replicate the tones on the CMAT Ratified I have on loan. When I came back a while later, I had dirt fatigue and could not process meaningfully.

Thanks for posting! This was really informative. My initial takeaway was that your base "clean" tone was great to start and made a solid foundation for any additional dirt.

I cannot wait for this new Schecter Stealth! I know it’s not some $1k+ custom masterpiece. Hell, it isn’t even a Fender. But I’m stoked to try it for this new project. In addition, I have seen several white basses/black pick guard/maple neck basses, since Still Valley started. Time to try something new.

My guitarist got two new guits for this project as well. Both 7 string LTDs. One is a single bridge humbucker viper shape. The other is a dual humbucker tele shape, he’s going to convert to a single humbucker (pickup on order). Both are double tuned for the 4 strings top to bottom. Tuned drop G 7/6 are G, 5/4 are D, or some crazy nonsense I don’t understand.

I know a couple people that had 4 string stilettos. The 4 string I played at GC was nice too. I called GC to ask if they could help get the lower weight box to ship, but they can’t/won’t do that. Hoping this one is closer to 9lbs, then 10.5. The discrepancy between weight is pretty big, from what I’ve seen with this model.

Agreed. I have a Stiletto Elite 5 that is fantastic.

I know a couple people that had 4 string stilettos. The 4 string I played at GC was nice too. I called GC to ask if they could help get the lower weight box to ship, but they can’t/won’t do that. Hoping this one is closer to 9lbs, then 10.5. The discrepancy between weight is pretty big, from what I’ve seen with this model.

That's why I prefer Sweetwater, they let you choose between the basses with weights listed. I just picked up an 8lb 3 oz P bass from them.

The biggest thing for me was trying to look pro with my guitar player. Having similar looking stealthed out axes, now we just need the drummer to drop $3k on a drum set Hahahaha.

Just noticed that Schecter got replaced with something in my post...damn auto fix. Pretty vague post with that one word changed, glad you knew what I was saying.

Weight's never bothered me much with basses. If it's light that's great, but I understand the concerns of heavy ones. I had a heavy one once and after a while I didn't notice but it took a few gigs to get there.
