Played a show last night, turnout was disappointing so we'll consider it a lesson learned. All the bands were really good. Black Pussy were the standouts for me. Really loved their set.

We got to soundcheck before the show. No one was really paying attention, when it was my turn I turned on the Dunwich VT. Almost instantly people's heads turned to the stage to check it out. First time I use the VT at full gig/practice volume, it was pretty freakin rad. Got lots of questions about it.

Soundcheck went well, then it was time to play something happened on stage. I could not hear anything anymore. It was just a muddy mess. Apparently it sounded good out front but I hate those shows when you just spend it worrying about what the crowd is hearing because all I could hear was a big boomy kick drum.

Invited a friend up to the property to help me stack wood and do some camping - he came up the night before and proceeded to polish off a fifth of vodka, an entire ring baloney/kielbasa and most of my chips - then was too hungover to help out the next day when all the work had to be done. I had several beers and slept like **** (dude snores LOUD), but got up yesterday and worked my ass off to get the job done, which was the point of the trip, after all.

Aside from all of that the guy was acting like an ass and being a back-handed passive aggressive dick the whole weekend. Why am I friends with this guy again?

It's good too see someone's true colors, but it's a bummer to realize that I don't want to be friends with this guy anymore.

My cousin has a "friend" like that, and I've told him repeatedly to dump the f***weed, but he still keeps taking s**t from this guy, just like what you described. Dump that f***weed, now.
