Dogs. I like cats but am mildly allergic and prefer to be the biggest jerk in the house. My SFLF has two dogs and a cat. She brought them all to my place for a week a couple weeks ago so we could shelter in place. It was madness.

I play golf, and have not run into that before. Context? Or is it pretty much the same with bass? As in "Another driver?? You have 6!"

Just joking, our neighbor has a chihuahua, really cool and funny creature.

The only negative about really small dogs like a chihuahua and others, to me, is the (real or imagined) frailty of their body. After my Dachshund goes to the Rainbow Bridge, if I get another dog in my advancing years, I'd go with something like a Cairn Terrier. Small, but sturdy.

Damn it!! My current bass (with spiffy new bridge) sounds perfectly good for my needs! This does not help me rationalize new gear!! Nor does my wife's dead-eyed stare when I regale her with the merits of sweet, sweet tube toanz.

Thanks for the laughs the last couple days. Things have been creeping toward the cliff in my house. kinda glad we got word we'll be back in the shop in a few weeks.

Been listening to a lot of jazz lately. There's a 1985 episode from a Belgian TV that has a Jaco band playing live in the studio. I put on the phones to give it a listen and was really impressed (again) by how good of a support player he was.

Another clip is the George Duke trio playing "It's On" with Christian McBride on bass. The interplay between he, Duke, and the drummer should be required viewing when forming a band.

I watched a bit of that Jaco one, pretty good, cool too. Wasn't that when/after he started going off the rails?

I modded one. Still hated it on bass
