Often it keeps a solid signal. That’s what I thought was the initial issue for my amp - the in/outs of the FX loop get slightly oxidized and cut out. Putting a cable in there often solves the issue.

I've heard about that, I should probably do the same for mine to help it last. Not sure I'll ever use the fx loop.

It's really not too bad as far as complication. Just difficult without the right tools and has hand skills that need to be honed. Mine's sloppy, but I put zero time in to remedy any mess ups.

The jack's are dirty and have 30yrs of funk on em, this is just easier. At some point I'll replace em, but it's not a priority to order replacements. I gotta do the headphone jack too.
Ironically I had that amp cracked open last night to add some more mass to the heatsink and to replace the dead power LED. I only had extra bright ones left... so it's now visible from orbit.
Seems to me, a slick tech like you could whip up a little solid-connection "U" made from 2 1/4" plugs that should eliminate the cable section. These may exist already, I do not know.
Been listening to a lot of jazz lately. There's a 1985 episode from a Belgian TV that has a Jaco band playing live in the studio. I put on the phones to give it a listen and was really impressed (again) by how good of a support player he was.

I wish I could play at home just to torture my cats. Who ever invented those things was insane. Now that Im home all day, every day, I am way over exposed. Cat hair on everything. One of them destroys the furniture with her claws and the other by puking on everything. I honestly find nothing redeeming about them; but my wife and kid claim to love them... so there they are.
Yeah, I know. In a strategic move, I refused to comment on that situation with the wife. Mine has trained me well.
