Stoner/Doom Bassists Thread, Part 90: Maxed Out

Heh, along with the normal fireworks and gunshots at midnight, one of my neighbors appeared to be firing what looks and sounds to be equivalent to flash-bang grenades up in the air. It's hard to impress me with things that go pop, but that was quite notable, even from what I guess was about 100 meters away. Each was a huge, quick flash followed by a fscking stunning boom. They shot off about five of them, and I smoked a second cigarette to see if they'd entertain me with more. I'm not saying it was responsible, but it at least made the fools firing off their pistols and fireworks mortars look truly silly.

Have a great 2021, you guys.

I never really had an interest in Dark Glass stuff at all and for the most part I like simple vintage style gear but the newest versions of their heads have a TON of features that would be useful. DI w/ 3 different cab sim options, USB interface, headphone out, Aux in, compression, clean channel plus two different drive channels. Right now my only head is a Ampeg V4B. This could take the place a lot of different tools.

There’s a v1 of this amp local to me for 400$. I love DG stuff. Just wondering if anyone has the 500 watt version?

I know resolutions are kinda' hokey, but is anyone else thinking about bass goals for 2021? I think I want to take lessons again, though not from the same teacher I was before. Getting up the motivation to practice isn't really an issue, but I still think I'd benefit from someone giving me direction in how to get from point A to point B. Of course any recommendations are welcome.

I just want to continue focusing on groundwork for both bass and guitar. It's been really helpful going back to basics and figuring out the mechanics of how to play again and I'm really feeling it start to pay off. After that, I'm really just wanting to learn cover songs and be productive, hopefully leading to some originals to record at some point.

Only one goal in 2021. Stay alive.

Just hoping to get some more jams in and get the band at least into the studio or back on gigs.

Realistically though, just hope to have time to put together both of my final prototypes.

Btw haven't forgotten about putting together some how too's for the pedalboard and cabinet I built. I remember a couple people asking about em.

This (well, I'm also OK with hearing the lamentations of their men, I'm not picky like that).

And play more bass, and get that bass VI I've been obsessing about.

Me neither- it maters not to me how you identify; you will be crushed and your loved ones lament. I thought about changing it to partners or loved ones, but went verbatim.
