Stoner/Doom Bassists Thread, Part 90: Maxed Out

Well, my wife decreed that the bass and amp had to move out of the front room and into the basement. So, I've started to create a man-burrow. Very bare-bones, but functional: one big chair, one big TV (olde skoole cathode ray tube, yo), and my bass stuff. Also hung up the requisite Bernie Kosar poster, and my John Wayne clock.
Hot damn that sounds good.
The bell organ setting sounds odd but the rest is killer.
If it's still for sale I thin gonna check out that alpha bass head. It's a 160 watts via 6x6l6GC's and can be used as a pre or a power amp. And since it's rack mountable I can put it and the Demeter in one box and use it for power, or on it's own.

Seems like the pedal does it's job, but I find the sound of an organ to be one of the most annoying instruments in existence. Organs and Banjos, no thank you.

That title goes to Sax for me followed by other brass.
Organs are cool in some things, but mostly they make me think of soap operas, or worse really depressing dated crappy churches with a funeral and stuff. Grim and tacky worst combination.

One of the coolest musical experiences of my life was playing drums for Inna-Gadda-Davida and a selection of Deep Purple tunes with an organist on a HUGE pipe organ in a HUGE church sanctuary where I happened to be working at the time. Massive volume and power, it was incredible.
I like organ in appropriate settings - classic rock, some stoner rock stuff, etc.
That being said I don't really have a use for that organ pedal, but I think it's a damn impressive piece of technology.

I wonder how those multi instrument keyboards like casios are. if you could some how rig one to put your guitar into it bypassing the keys and use it to color your guitar as an organ/piano/etc
You could probably do it with some kind of guitar-to-midi convertor, but it wouldn't easy or cheap by any means. You'd be better off just shelling out for one of the Roland or Fishman guitar synth systems.
This was more of a $5 goodwill synth project or bust. The world will never know...

would love to see it for $175-$200 though if I can.
