I did that snap your strings against the fretboard for a little freshness and flicked off as much visible crud off them. Then played facing my amp from the other side of the house. I re EQ'd as well and it was better, no growl, but more of a defined bass tone.

The bronco should slay with new strings again, the dually is partly responsible for the extra lows I'm not used to I bet. But it's pretty incredible how much low end I can pump out with a bass with a 10k strat rail pickup that has a rickenbacker style bridge cap that's hard wired in to cut lows. I'm curious what this would sound like without it, I've never not had that cap in place. But it gives the bass more edge I find.

I am starting to believe this guy is telling the truth and may be in the alien inner circle. You can tell by his disheveled hair and facial expressions that Greyfisting must be real.

Yea Ron asked for a simple DI box. The low pass and the bass boost can be removed and that was because Dennis wanted a studio "colour tone" kinda box since it uses a xformer for isolation. The low pass is a 2 pol/2nd order filter so it reduces signal by 12 dB/octave. That is quite a sharp filter. The cutoff can be adjusted by changing the caps in the circuit. Bass Boost is active as Ron said so you can pump up the lows if need be and piss on the sound guy. The unit has a internal charge pump so it can be run last in the signal chain if need be without distorting from the extra signal off a distortion or fuzz

yowza, i super need this soon. so rad, exactly what i need now we are playing larger venues.
