No news to report. But my cheap P Bass has been promoted to not so cheap Kermit bass.
It was hard to see, being all camouflaged against that plant.
I have officially un-doomed myself. After the neigbours complained about me playing my 'guitar' [sic] late at night, I did what a true Geezer would not even consider:
* apologize
* realize that 11 PM is not the same to everyone
* f*ck around with silent options
* and finally resorted to this little 'Bass Pocket Amp'
Out of the doom, and into the pocket. Pure f*cking evil, only through headphones.
My condolences. That box has a nice feature set but the built-in drive and cab sim are so awful

I had a real hard ponder for one of these going on, but decided not to since the current headphone rig is working fine. But, the trigger finger was itchy as hell.

(Should have given an OCD trigger warning, perhaps. In another section of TB this board provoked (friendly) 'complaints' because cables being visible and pedals being misaligned, etc.)

I wish I could drop my entire pedalboard and get a Quad Cortex at this point... kinda pisses me off having to lug this whole heavy pedalboard up and down to the computer any time I want to record. It has its benefits but uggggh. I don't know.
Ouch! The Quad Cortex isn't cheap, is it? Ahh, just sell a kidney. You have two for a reason.

Shout out to that. If it works it works.
As weird as it may sound, I am currently running a Positive Grid Bias head as my rig while I ponder over my replacement for the Music Man HD130 that I sold. It is surprisingly effective as a digital bass modeling head when you program in the EQs correctly. It’s also one of the few heads that have projected my bass frequency-leaning pedals well (especially my sub-octave pedals).
Coming up: my very first Stoner gig! We will be playing for 45 minutes or so on 27th of April. That's the King's birthday, and it's a day for celebrations of all kinds here in the Netherlands. We will be opening for a blues band that sounds far worse than us, so it all makes complete sense.
