G'morning. I've been down a bit after having to quit the band I've been playing in for the last 5 years due to work and family issues taking priority. Anywhos, it's back to the bassment and amusing myself with an 8-track and my own poor ideas.
I did, however, capture what I think is a really great tone using a Walrus Eras into a DG B7K with Fender HM IV (basically the oddball Stratocaster of Fender basses with 3 single-coils and a 5-way selector switch). Warm and broken up on the higher notes, grindy/growly on the lows while retaining a fair amount of articulation.
I'm also taking this time away from others to finally learn how to use a pick. This is my first attempt at recording using one. [Yes, the sh!tty guitar playing is also me, and I do use a pick on guitar.] Only effect used is compression.
