I figured it'd be different than oatmeal nevermind. I thought it was an oppressive Victorian sludge.

Texicans, no matter how much they act different are just like the rest of us southerners.
I'm not in charge, so I'm not quite sure the exact reasons. I suspect it's to get more music out while somewhat reducing the cost. We have enough new material for a split right now, not enough for a full album.

Goddamn, I could have been calling it porridge this whole time and pretending I was in a period piece.
Finally had some time this afternoon to jam with the F800 + 3620. What a great rig: loads of volume and low end. I scored a cheap Peavey badge to affix to the cab, so I'm fully branded. I plan to take it out for my 7/18 & 7/19 MDT shows; I'll be sharing with two other bassists so I'll have plenty of muscle to get the beast loaded in and out.

From memory, it just has volume, sustain, tone and a clean blend, so maybe doesn't have the customisation you'd need.
Going to see Yob again on the 26th. Gonna be cool. Too bad their record won't be out until september.

In 7th grade I went to LA and then did the big sur to San Francisco then stayed in a hotel on the edge of the shore for a week I think in Monterey. Was hot everywhere there, I sweateded.
Pretty bummed after our last practice. First, guitarist had some issues with his Pickle and I had to borrow him my overdrive which pretty much changed all my plans regarding my tone that night. Then, it turned out that drummer forgot how he played the new track last week even though I make a point of recording new tracks at the end of every practice and sending the recordings to everyone afterwards. We all played kinda sloppy all night long, so I guess it was one of THOSE days...
I know we're still pretty much toddlers if it comes to playing together, but it was frustrating nevertheless.

On the other hand, Church Of Misery, Conan and SUMA are playing on a local festival in two weeks, so at least that's good.

Micro POG is an up and down digital octave pedal. It tracks amazingly well but it is very clean. I actually like it but my cab can't do the low octave justice.
The Superego is hard to explain. It is kind of like the Freeze pedal where it can hold a single note indefinitely but it has a couple other modes. There are Youtube vids about it. Really just something you need to hear. I wish my guitarist wanted it because I think it sounds amazing on guitar. It could also work well on bass but not for my band and i need the money.
We're doing a vinyl split, and it's being facilitated by a label with a band that I didn't previously know personally, but had one of their albums.
Not too hard to do one yourself if you want, just have to find another band. The upsides of doing a split are that the costs are reduced, you have buyers from two different fan bases, and if the split is the first time someone is hearing your band, they're more likely to listen to 3-4 songs by a new band than a whole full length.
