Mostly using the Matamp with the 2 215s. Thinking of selling the Ampeg rig but I know i'll regret it.

Oxfuzz bass for low gain fuzz
Dual Demon for mild to heavy OD
Dunwich Volt Thrower for a brighter OD verging on distortion.
Bluebeard for high gain fuzz
VFE mini mu filter
Cusak Tap-a-phase
Darkglass VMT for a scooped modern tone.

So...which dirt tone do you use the most?

mostly using the Fender 300pro thru the fender 810 with nothing but the amp and the footswitch.
sometimes use the JGR, or the Sunn 1200s thru a berg 412 or 215 with the fender sublime, ox fuzz, bluebeard, musket, Darkglass VMT, Fdeck, Supercollider and space echo. But i dont need most of that when using just the 300pro. truth.

I've jammed on a Super Bassman 300 at an area shop and loved the OD channel.

just a heads up, atomic has two SVTs and a V9 cab with 3 missing speakers. i reeeeeally want the late 70s SVT they have, i may make a trip back next week (thats probably BS as i can never bring myself to move the VR).

they also have a verellen big spider there, tried that out with the SVT. so yeah that pedal is a piece of garbage haha. for all the hype verellen gets id expect way more out of a 200+ dollar fuzz. sounded horrible. one of the most "hollow" fuzzes ive ever heard.

Eyeballkid is not helping my SB300 GAS.

Tony Alva rolled in an Ox Blood SB300 810 rig with a Mark Hoppis seafoam green P to Gilman Street several months back. Pure bad ass golden tone.
No issues hearing him in the venue or outside.

We use such different gear and we change constantly so I can never remember what we're all using. I got a pedal idea but I need a tiny bit of inspiration. If y'all could post real quick and tell me your main dirt and main amp I'd really appreciate it.

Sunn 2000s or 1200s into JBL-loaded 2x15s. My dirt pedal is my amp's volume knob. If I want fuzz, I have a germanium FuzzFace.

Saw Samsara Blues Experiment the other night. Great outdoor stage in the middle of the mountains, great show. Apparently they ditched the old bass player and guitar guy went to bass (though they said he was a bassist all along). Did a great job, fiulled the whole bottom of the band sometimes also covering the guitarist. Have to say that the drummer was a bit sloppy though.

My mid-70s Magnavox era one has been a workhorse, and other than the occasional bum preamp tube (and the time I took it to a questionable tech) has been nothing but reliable.

Watched Cottage Country on Netflix Instant last night, pretty funny. Not as funny as Tucker N Dale but still fun seeing Tyler Labine in another campy flick.

Morning! Solid weekend, gotta work a half day this evening, then I'm off for a week. Pretty Amped.

We had a killer practice yesterday. I'm digging the mini set up my modified eb-3 -> BB -> meatsmoke pre -> peavey 120/120 -> 810. My primary tones are Neck PU or Blended PU's through the blue beard or the SD in he bridge with the boost channel on the meatsmoke. If anybody wants to listen, here's a link. We also started working on snowblind which came together rather quickly. Guitarist wasn't singing but still pretty rad.... Since all 3 of us are either buying a house or getting married at the moment we hope to record later this year and just do a full length out of the gate... we almost have enough material as it is now....
