Yup, sounds like FuManchu alright. I was reading an interview them yesterday and Scott said that he's been using only the Superfuzz for 15 years or something - but I swear that one of the times that I saw them and he and Bob both had boss fuzz pedals.They had identical rigs, actually - right down to the Dan Armstrong guitar and TU-3 tuner.

Maybe he doesn't like the bring the Superfuzz on the road...

Isn't the Boss FZ-2 a clone of the Superfuzz, maybe he just meant the Superfuzz circuit.

Get a replacement basket and fix it yourself - that's a nice thing about Peavey drivers.

Are all BWs like that? I could really probably fix my exploded super old BW, that was in the folded cab...

Do you have enough cabs to stack like a open square and sit in the middle? Or make some other interesting design/shape?

Good jam this evening. The P bases have been sounding great lately. They seem to work with the 215s better than the Js and a bit better than the Rics.

New mobile machete rig is BASSIC 15/sunn beta bass/green muff/ '74 p. It sounded damn good last night. And the p is strung with roto flats

Ah, that makes sense then. I wouldn't bring a vintage superfuzz on the road, Boss is probably more reliable anyway.

Pretty sure, I'll take a look at the parts catalog. Next time you're at the practice spot write down the model number on the driver and I'll find out for sure. But I'm almost positive that you can get a new basket for it.

Packing up the dually and headed to Austin. Gonna replace the caps in the alphabass with dad and check it out.

Also fix my muffs and maybe get a cheap headbox made for the pignose.

Those FZ-2s can even fetch > $100 used. If you wanna go dirt cheap, Behringer makes an FZ-2 clone.
