Stoner/Doom Bassists Thread, Part 90: Maxed Out

What is this place?
It's a small group of regulars who listen to heavy music, and are cool to each other.
Edit: and like big cabs, tube amps, and LOTS of stage volume.
2nd edit: and you won't get a beatdown like you would in other parts of TB for a question.
You will get a lot of razzing and zingers though.
^+1

This place is just like any other. We are like minded bass players of a certain unground style of heavy rock music. This ain't your Nickelback poopie.

If you really want to know more about what this genre is, someone made a documentary. It's not a definitive, but it will get you feet wet.

Sent a text to doom guitarist seeing if there was anything there, he wanted to get together this weekend, but I'm busy, then next weekend, I'm travelling. Sucks, but it's cool to know they are still looking to jam with me, even if it is sporadic.

That's good news! People are shaging busy - I'm still trying to get the new band off the ground but I've barely had time to scratch my ass lately, let alone write songs and record them. Now we might be moving next month. Not that it matters, guitar dude is working two jobs and has a full-time band already.

Maybe this fall...

I hear you on that. They are both "lots of hours at work" kind of guys, and both have 2 youngsters.
Edit: I think it was fortuitous that I ran into my friend at GC, because he'll probably have a wide open schedule for some casual playing. At least enough to keep the rust off the strings.

So parallel is using the two output jacks from the head, one to one cab, and the other to another cab?
And two cabs in series is one head output jack to a cab then the output of the cab to the next cab?

No, you would need a series/parallel box. Both situations you listed would have the cabs in parallel.
