Stoner/Doom Bassists Thread, Part 90: Maxed Out

If it's in the statute of limitations and he obviously has a stable job, I'd take him to small claims court or at least threaten too and try to get a check written, or have him get it from his deceased buddies relatives (sounds like a ******** answer though honestly). He has no compelling reasons why he did that.

Yeah, I think I'm going to ask for a cashier's check.

Court is out of the question.I can't prove poopie, I got the amp from a pawn shop when I was 16 - no receipt, no serial numbers, nothing to prove that it's mine or that it was ever in the guy's possession. Gotta plan it out though, going to discuss it with my wife - she knew the guy too - we'll decide the best course of action. Otherwise, I might be asking everyone I know to spam the guy's yelp rating with negative reviews. That would be pretty satisfying.

Joe the x100b tempted me too, you might also just go for a black or silver face bassman head.

Ashdown and a few other companies made a few lower wattage bass heads.

Also a tube power amp abd blue rack would let you sample all kinds of preamps.

I know, that is the Frank Zappa amp! They are pretty cheap on GC used. Plus I heard people dig that and the Carvin VT50 on bass. And you can swap between 6L6's and EL84's in the X100B and only have to flip one switch.

Wait don't you have an email where he states that he gave away your property?

Yeah I'd like a bassman 50 clone one day for a practice amp. Would be fun for kicking around the house.

Be sure and check state specific laws too.
Sure might be enough to get a decent response though.

Yeah, I've got some more research to do, but considering I have a written confession that confirms that the items did belong to me and that they were given away (thus the intent to permanently deprive me of the objects in question) This ought to be enough to get some restitution.

Just printed and saved a hard copy of the email as well, just in case.
