The rush is on to sell a few things. I didn't realize he won't ship so he rather meet in a week which is awesome I can get that together easy, I already paid rent.

This also solves the dilemma of do I bother buying a guitar cab.

Yeah, I'm not going to go full-on litigious right out of the gate. Bad news for him is that he also gave away a vintage fender 2x12 from the late 60s /early 70s. That and the Sunn are both worth way more than I paid for them, and will cost a fair amount to replace. Looking at closed eBay sales and discounting those a bit - the head and cab are worth $800 easy on the low side... $1300.00 plus on the high side.

If by some stretch I actually end up getting reimbursed that money could go a long way toward a used SVT/SVTII/400/400+

OR hire some thugs s to wreck his car/bust his knees

Ok so laz was right and my strings were too small at practice last night. Think it's maybe 105-45 (blue steels) but no 100% since they came off another bass. The daddarios died fast and sounded flabby. I Liked the tension of the daddarios . WPP! Maybe 110-50 or should I just try a different brand? Circle k is out cause their too much $$. Don't want to experiment with that cost and shipping.

I had to go back to the dentist today for an emergency visit. The tooth I just had a root canal on broke. So they had to do another temporary filling and move up my appointment to get a crown on it to next week. That was waiting until next year, for insurance purposes. So now I just have to go out of pocket on it. Booooo.

See I'm excited to get the cab fixed, because I sold the peavey Windsor for sounding good, but farting funny and I blamed the amp, before the speakers, and now I want to try all the cheaper cool heads I used to have again.

Seriously, I should rent a room at their office. So far this month...temporary crown (took a couple visits), root canal, filling, now this. Still have to go back to finish the other crown next month too. They're putting off giving me a couple more fillings until next year, since they're not as crucial and my insurance won't cover anything else this calendar year. At least the dentist gave my oral hygiene and the state of my gums a glowing review. Been brushing, flossing and rinsing with mouthwash twice a day since my first visit.

No, before this happened he told me it was very precarious and if anything happened to call him immediately. The root canal was so extensive, aside from having had a broken old amalgam filling on the SIDE of my tooth, there was almost nothing left. They were trying to save me money by giving me a temporary filling and delaying the crown until January, there just wasn't enough tooth left to hold up on one side. It's all on my crappy teeth, which are a result of my poor decisions over the last decade lol.

Awesome! Yeah its the same Danny G from the SR.com boards. The name was already registered when I signed up few years back.

The cab is a Dietz, which made pa speakers and bass cabs for many years in Austin. All great sounding, kind of a shame they aren't known more outside of Central TX

Memory is cloudy, but my mind has Dietz and Amphetamine Reptile bound together. Jesus lizard used them, and pretty sure Melvins and maybe Unsane also at some points.

We use such different gear and we change constantly so I can never remember what we're all using. I got a pedal idea but I need a tiny bit of inspiration. If y'all could post real quick and tell me your main dirt and main amp I'd really appreciate it.

Demon, with Rat Tail + eq in a loop for fuzz. Into an Aguilar TH 500 until my svt gets fixed. Into Ampeg 810.

Haha it is 8ohms so that goes with the using a guitar head part. I'll have to paint the baffle white to semi match with my dually. And is it weird sonically to play that bassic sideways to match the dually?
