Well, this is my sophomore year of college, I'm with this girl I'd been seeing for a few weeks. Up all night doing, you know, stuff that they say requires adult supervision if it is even suggested at in movies. Kinda peters out toward, idk, 8 in the morning or something, she ends up going home, but I was still...ready to go or whatever. So after a little bit I start getting this really gnarly pain in my kidney areas and groin, do the normal routine to try to get rid of it, doesn't help. Take some ibuprofen, doesn't help. Pain gets way worse, like, hurts to stand up straight, pretty awful to try and walk. Finally I get it together enough to trek all the way across campus to the med center, check in, and they take me into one of the rooms. The nurse starts asking about what's wrong. I'm trying to explain this excruciating pain without actually just coming out and saying what it is, but she's just not getting it. After about 10 minutes of her trying to figure out what the issue is, I finally just blurt out "Look, it's Blue Balls, okay, it's blue balls. I don't know if you can really understand what that's like, but it REALLY hurts, can you at least give me like an ice pack or something?"

I then spent the rest of the day going about my business with an icepack shoved down the front of my jeans and sporting a pretty dope dongsicle.

Oooooor, or or or, I could run the HT200 into one 2x15, the 2000s into the other, and the 1200s into the two 1x15s.

I should really get a 1200s 6x12 to go with the 1200s...

The 1200S 6x12 is pretty meh for bass. Farts out really easily, doesn't have much low end.

Hahaha, yeah. Honestly, the gear part is what drew me to this thread. Most of what I listen to is "classic rock", or really Acid Rock, Cream, Hendrix, Mountain, Pink Floyd, Zep, Sabbath, Ten Years After, Who, and I listen to stoner rock now because that's what's still loud and balls to the wall and into big amplifiers in rock. Like, I don't get when it became passe or whatever in "rock" to use big amps and such. I don't know why it can't be heavy and loud and still be "rock", you know (whatever rock even means at this point)? Your boutique 1x12 combo, while neat, will never be the same as a full Marshall stack. But there's a lot of newer bands up that alley, Blues Pills, Kadavar, Electric Citizen, Wolfmother, Howlin' Rain. People often describe what I listen to as Metal, though I don't really think that's accurate, it's just...loud and heavy.

Plus, let's be honest, no one looked awesome standing onstage in-front of a class D micro amp and 2x10. Its just not badass in any way. And don't get me started on the state of "blues" and the vast majority of players...

I can't believe people have actually heard of the band whose gear that they never use takes up space at our rehearsal studio. The running joke is that it's uncertain that they actually exist.

Alright so sitting at a"concert "is a surreal experience. Like the artist is performing and folks are just hanging out sitting. Damn I'd love to see someone heavy in a venue where I can just relax in a chair and have drinks brought to me.

I think it's weird that jet was shot down with Americans and allies in it and Obama only referred to it as a tragedy or whatever. Yet we still need to put soldiers in Iraq that's still done nothing to us or for us... Save Isis threatening to keep a huge oil field.

Also I have Malaysian family so to hell with shooting down those peaceful peoples.

Most of the passengers were apparently Dutch. Besides that, the rest were mostly Malaysian and Australian, IIRC. Including some AIDS researchers on their way to a conference. Pretty poopy.

As for why it was shot down... I'm sure some guy was trigger happy and really did think it might be a military aircraft and shot an AA missile at it without really being careful. There is a war going on there, after all.

Gave the Monobrow another solid listen yesterday while driving my car. I've listened to it a bunch of times but I think that's probably the fourth time I've given it a dedicated listen. Gets better every time. Can't wait for my vinyl to show up.

I was able to ship Speedor's Idiotbox to Poland for $21 bucks using first class mail.
I am thinking of picking up an old all tube Ampeg guitar amp that switches between 120 and 60 watts. It says impedance doubles when run at 60 watts and it has multiple speaker outs. Does that mean 8ohm outs are 16ohm run at 60watts or 8ohms drops to 4ohms. I am hoping I can run my 8ohm Bassic with it at 60watts but want to make sure before I buy it.

4 ohm becomes 8ohm
8 ohm becomes 16 ohm
16 ohm becomes 32 ohm (if that output isn't defeated in 60w mode)

Also you can run 2 8ohm cabs in 60w mode. You could run two 16ohm in 60w also but that doesn't apply to bass cabs.

Thanks. Not many videos on that series to even listen to. I was hoping I would get some Ampeg-ish clean tones and throw pedals at it. I could get it for $200 or less but if it they don't sound too great maybe I should just pass on it.
