I got it in a trade. Honestly the modulations are pretty cool but crazier than I can find any use for but the normal delay functioning is cool. If you are really wanting one, you can buy mine.
I'm glad it made it to you. Sorry for the delay. Yeah, we really aren't making any money on them. Our fault for not shopping the shirts. Drummer went to the first place google maps had on his way home from work. We were going to have his friend do them for free. Four months later... Free! Oh well. We aren't losing money. And the band name gets out there. Glad you like it though!
Thanks to everyone for the support. It's like I found this thread and started a band at the same time. You guys have been great with gear gabbing and wheelin' dealin'. I know about so many more bands, fuzz pedals, rare basses, strings, etc. because of being here. The rest of TB just doesn't get it. So tomorrow, clips of the Pbass, measure for new pickup covers, and writing new riffs. Just gotta get through the next 23 hours.
Hahaha, yeah. Honestly, the gear part is what drew me to this thread. Most of what I listen to is "classic rock", or really Acid Rock, Cream, Hendrix, Mountain, Pink Floyd, Zep, Sabbath, Ten Years After, Who, and I listen to stoner rock now because that's what's still loud and balls to the wall and into big amplifiers in rock. Like, I don't get when it became passe or whatever in "rock" to use big amps and such. I don't know why it can't be heavy and loud and still be "rock", you know (whatever rock even means at this point)? Your boutique 1x12 combo, while neat, will never be the same as a full Marshall stack. But there's a lot of newer bands up that alley, Blues Pills, Kadavar, Electric Citizen, Wolfmother, Howlin' Rain. People often describe what I listen to as Metal, though I don't really think that's accurate, it's just...loud and heavy.
Plus, let's be honest, no one looked awesome standing onstage in-front of a class D micro amp and 2x10. Its just not badass in any way. And don't get me started on the state of "blues" and the vast majority of players...

so Ive been a bit of a gear whore at times.. I ve had a helluva alot of amps, some pretty coveted ones that I feel very lucky to have owned. Ive spent over two grand on amps a couple times, and honestly, I dont have any of those anymore because I dont see the point usually. Dont get me wrong, dropping $2k or more for a handmade work of art like Nick does is totally understandable to me... but Ive been seeing amps in the classifieds for astounding amounts and i dont get it anymore. who pays this? (and this is coming from a guy that impulse drops $1500 on gear sometimes)
I mean, I love good gear... ALOT.... but... Ive had amps that cost a few grand that didnt sound any better, and sometimes worse than my $500 sunn 1200. Ive had the same with basses that didnt sound or feel any better than my old Musicman SUB...
Ive got my fender 300 pro. its a beast, but ive never found a single amp, no matter the cost that comes close to touching it... I used to have an old Yamaha b100 sitting on an Acoustic 106 that I paid $300 total for and a friends band plays it now. My god, its the best live tone Ive ever heard and I get pissed that ive spent years to recreate that sound with $1000's in gear..
do you guys think that sometimes gear is a suckers game? (but keep your hands off of my stash!)
and I know... that quest gave me those pieces I cherish... so its all good...
I guess I wonder about how we go on these searches for "it" and its just a crazy addiction. For example, there's a Walter wood for over 2k. Ive played one. Its nice, but no nicer than my ashdown. Do people think there's magic fairy dust resistors in it or something?

I get old man syndrome and want the amps I own and love in smaller lighter packages. My current quest is a awesome 8ohm amp for my BNA cab. I would use the SVT but last time I ran the SVT at 8ohms it blew up.

Yep I have a similar problem. The 4 ohm 1502 black widow is my ideal bass tone. Perfect with a flat EQ. I'm just not willing to store or transport 4 of them. They NEED large boxes to to sound good. It just doesn't make sense to me. I've burned up a lot getting the volume I prefer and I'm done with them. So I've got a fearful which cost me the equivalent of 2 215ds to build. Why does poopie blow up when the volume is right?
But yeah I've spent way took much money chasing cheap tone.
Yeah, I guess it sort of is. For me, I have a pretty good idea of what I want in equipment, so I'm never really searching. I lucked out and figured out I loved Sunns early on, and have just stuck with them. Most of G.A.S. now isn't stuff I need to achieve a more perfect tone, just stuff I think is neat. My sound is pretty much Fender's with Swing 66s, tone open, but I still REALLY want an vintage EB-3 just so every now and then I can get all Jack Bruce/Felix Pappalardi style on it. As for pedals, I'm mostly after odd-ball stuff to make spacey sounds.
The only amps I'll pay over $1500 for would be either a pristine vintage Sunn (which honestly I can get cheaper, it'd have to be something really special), some other nice Vintage amp (Laney Supergroup, Hiwatt, Marshall Major, ACC 360/361, etc) or handwired custom amps if new. I don't get why people would spend $2000+ for a new SVT or Orange AD200 when you can get something like Verellen or Dunwich or Hi-Tone or Matamp for in the same ballpark. It's totally beyond me (though, to be fair, that might be because I just don't dig SVTs, but still, they can be had cheaper).
For instruments, I'd pay more if it's vintage or whatever, but personally, for my money, the Fender AVRI line is all I need. Good quality, vintage specs (like I want), Fender, and were the perfect price to quality ratio for me (the old line, anyhow). I think there's serious diminishing returns after about that price range on guitars. Would I pay Fender CS prices? MAYBE, if I was certain it was a bass I would love and it was all done to my specs, but even the new AVRI line is a bit pricey for me (comparatively, my '62 P & J were $1000 and $1500 respectively). I again don't get paying up near $2000 for a, well...knock off Fender. My apologies if any of you guys use guitars like Nash or whatever, I just don't grasp it. Nothing against people using them, but I just don't get it.
So in conclusion, do I think it's a suckers game to constantly be chasing some unachievable perfection? Yeah, I think the best we can do is zero in as closely as we can on what we're going for and concentrate our efforts there. I try to keep from flipping much and don't buy tons of stuff, just research it first and try to get it right the first time.

Alright so sitting at a"concert "is a surreal experience. Like the artist is performing and folks are just hanging out sitting. Damn I'd love to see someone heavy in a venue where I can just relax in a chair and have drinks brought to me.

If my ears aren't ringing, I probably didn't have good enough of a time (apply to music, nights out, relationships, etc)
Also, @askrere @DethByDoom and anyone else interested,Link RemovedYou can see my box on the second page, I built it into an old Rogue distortion box I had laying about. As is stated on there, it need to be either non-conductive abs or a plastic enclosure, or the jacks must be completely isolated from the box itself. Silly easy project.

I'll only comment on part of this: the Fender 300 is probably my favorite head I've played through. I thought of ditching the AD200 for one at one time but decided against it. That said, I could see myself owning a Fender 300 one day.

A guy in my town has a trebuchet. They build straw bale castles about 1500 feet from it a wing pumpkins at it. It literally shoots 40lb pumpkins in a straight line shot the whole way! Its beastly!

By the way, "trebuchet" is french. In American its pronounced "tree-buckets".
@D.M.N. For me, the chase is the best part. If I caught the beast, I wouldn't know what to do with it.
