96. And it's a stick, which I don't drive so well. 1500. It looks to be in pretty good shape.
Yo, dudes. Been gone for a while. ORange TB1000 took a dump on me this week. Just shutdown mid practice and won't turn back on. No funky burning smells, or noises - just quit working. Gonna send it to orange, but I don't think the thing is registered, hope the warranty is still intact. Luckily should be cheap to ship since it's just a little guy.
Once you get stick down, you'll love it. MK3 models are fantastic. Let me know if you ever have any questions, especially if it's the 2.0 engine.
(Edit) I should mention that my wife's 97 cabrio (essentially the same thing as a 96 jetta with a shorter trunk and convertible), is pushing 250,000 miles. These cars can run forever with some basic maintenance and a little work here and there. Get a haynes or bently manual for it, you'll be set.
Thanks man! This is mostly the sort of thing I've been hearing. I really need to just jump on it. Stick is still just a little intimidating, I guess more or less for when I hit the city. Here in town and in the country on my way to work I'm not too worried. I suppose it's just a time/adjustment thing.
Ship it to them. I used FedEx and think it was only like $22 bucks to ship my Terror 500 to them. I had no warranty and they still fixed and shipped it back for free. They also put brand new JJ tubes in it!
Askrere you need to set some firm boundaries with the borrower. You're not just a free gear rental house. Is that the same guy that eats all of your food?
Yeah I took it out of the headcase to save on shipping and figured they wouldn't want to have to mess with the head case. I didn't completely put it all back together, I left the rubber feet off, but did but the top handle back on. I put in in the soft carrying case to help protect it in shipping. They never questioned me on airflow and I am sure they knew I had it in a case or something since no feet were on it. Edit, I think there are some known issues with the Terror series that Orange knows about but kindly and quietly fix them when they come back home to Orangeville. Here's where I get into a bit of a sting....did you have a custom headcase on it? I'm removing the headcase before I send it, but wondering if it'll appear "modified" which will void any warranty. Should've had **** loads of air flow, so it shouldn't have been a thermal shutdown from that, but how knows. Thanks for the heads up, btw.
...hang out accordingly.
If I ever mention anything about a drummer, just assume it's cancelled.
Seriously? Sonofabitch...

That stinks. Ready to just go with a drum machine?
