I didn't like the mirror guard and got a white and tort one from a dude just now in town. What you guys think? I'm really digging the all white but the torts cool too.

Cool. One more question. Do you use Mac or PC? I have Windows 7 64bit, was wondering if that would work. Buying options say XP or Vista. I'm kinda of a noob when it comes to software. Especially this newer stuff.

I use a Mac, because I use Logic and it's made by Apple (so only works on a Mac). New Toontrack stuff should work on anything XP or newer, as far as I know.

Yeah, I love the way it feels and plays, I just pretty much always want a P pickup over the Jazz configuration. So I'm going to sell it and get one of their PB4 models. I end up using my MIM Precision over everything I own that's more expensive (so everything I own that's not it), just because I prefer that tone. I now kick myself for not getting at least a PJ with my custom bass, though I can still put a EMG 35 sized "P" in the neck position if I really want. I just have no idea how well those reflect an actual P pickup.

So yeah, definitely love Carvin, just going to get a different pickup essentially lol. If they'd had the PB series when I bought my SB, I would have gone with that. I used to always play Jazz basses for years though, so it was a safe bet at the time.

Exactly where I'm coming from! The SB was what intrigued me. If the PB had been an option, I might have gone that way... But I knew the Jazz would be perfect and didn't foresee a P model. I also missed block inlays by like a month...

Which reminds me - I'm on the lookout for the bridge Dimarzio One/PAF Jazz pickup to replace the sticker covering the hole, please keep your eyes open. (Cream cover preferred but I can buy a cover if needed)

Gonna get some rotosound swing 66 stainless steel for the bronco. Seems like it's a way to get a more full scale growl tone, but if I'm mistaken and gonna just face bright clangy finger noise let me know.

Then EB power slinkies for my p bass.

You should check out that EHX Knockout if you haven't already. That thing was pretty cool and cheap to beef up tone a bit. At least when I used it.

Good plan, I finally bought Reaper because I felt guilty for using it so long without a license. I use it as my main DAW and program all of my drums using XLN Addictive Drums. Toontrack is good stuff too, especially their Sonor samples.

That album is all kinds of kick@ss. I love Mighty Mighty. I was at Sasquatch a few years back and when Charles Bradley started, his band played Mighty Mighty while he walked out in this huge flowing cape. It was so cool, and I don't think anyone else understood why I was like "DUDE! MIGHTY MIGHTY!!!!"

In other news, had more surgery this week, had another mole on my leg removed, so now I'm walking around like a gimp. Super cool.

Thanks again, Squanch. Now hopefully we get an EP out this fall. We have enough tunes written for a full length, but many of them are in various stages of recording and with the gigs rolling in it's tough to find time to work on it. A good problem to have, I suppose.
