Witch is one of the first bands I stumbled on after learning about this genre so more of a thank Datassian I stumbled on this genre and thank Datassain that John my guitar teacher doesn't play hair metal anymore LOL kind of thing.

This was one of the first albums that got me into stoner/doom/super fuzzed out shiz. Such a faukin huge sounding album. I think I read that guitars and bass were all played through tiny 5w tube amps for the recording, for extra saturation and fuzz.

Man I bought that Black Sabbath tab book since I feel I should know more songs/covers instead of always burying myself in theory books. Well started with Sweet Leaf and got all the main riffs down but the book lists all these hammer on sections that my ears don't even hear when I listen to the song. I think I am bass tone deaf LOL. I need lower Hz ears.

Same here, I'm horrible at picking out basslines accurately. All I can do is approximate.

Any good suggestions on theory books?

Here is a great simple music theory book and I like this bass ear trainer cd(I found at GC) you can listen to in the car to help your ears(though apparently my ears are fighting it the whole time lol)

Thanks! I'll give em a try, I have a weird fragmented understanding of theory and how things relate to each other. Trying to put everything together a little better, maybe eventually it'll click.

I've got two of these and they're super comfortable. My advice is get the longest one you can b/c you can always sinch it up if you need. I have the longest one and have it at max length and I still wish it was just a tad longer.
