Thanks! I'll give em a try, I have a weird fragmented understanding of theory and how things relate to each other. Trying to put everything together a little better, maybe eventually it'll click.

Yeah I just wanted to understand intervals, Nashville notation, and chord and scale theory better, not trying to play jazz or anything like that lol. This bass chord book is pretty useful too, chords help me memorize where intervals are especially like skipping over two or more strings.

Two day jam was total success, we landed all of my rhythm guitarists solo's (I only call him a rhythm guitarist because he just stepping up to the plate for writing/leading) and we pieced together something new that definitely sounds like it could be our heaviest and most mid tempo song we wrote, looking forward to writing more riffs when get home.


Also set up my bass by myself for the first with my new strings and everything seems and feels spot on, it need very little adjustments at all to go from my 126. Gauge set to my 120.

And I made some new settings on my 11 band eq on Bassman 1200 and they sound the best I've had, gave myself more lows and less high end and I always have my mids cranked, before I must have been cutting the far low end side way too much.

Only razzing ya, but you are going to need a tele bass for that strap lol.
If you end up with a fur covered bass cab with visible ports you need to rock these boots on stage. Bah!!!!

Hell yea, that would go well with my someday plan to install an amp or pedal into a cow skull. Get LEDs in the eyes to bounce to the music or clipping.

My friend used to always jam kyuss and I hated it and then one tree filled day on the way to sonic he put it on and I was like whoaaa then the rest is history. Witch came on my kyuss pandora and so on and so forth. I kinda stopped using pandora though and it just played sabbath every other song on any channel I made even if I thumbed it down.

Trying to get into buzz*oven but so far junkie and lose (which I'm pretty sure is Dixie doing vocals) are the only tracks I've dug right away.

So I found the bass I first learned on sort of... I lent it to my old guitarist who immediately smacked it on the pavement on purpose for character (wasn't his or mine to begin with). Then he drew all over it. Then gave it away. He texted me today to talk about buying a bass and it came up that that bass is back in Austin. So I said I want to get it back and he said he can't help me himself as he's busy so I told him give me the persons number and I'll go get it then he sent me a picture of BBQ...

Really want it back one so I can tell the my really good friends brother who let me borrow it in high school it still exists and two because if it's anyone's it's his or mine and I want to let him know I got it back...

I do not spend time with that guy he was an awesome guitarist but a complete douche. Last thing I did with him he asked me to help rewire his Gibson SG like four years ago and I stripped it of parts and he gave me the guts and didn't have anything to replace them, so he never put it back together.

That's why he came to contacting me in the last months, asking for pickup and bass recommendations. Ignored me on all fronts so I'm getting this bass back somehow and deleting his number.

Yeah probably not a bad plan, I'm just surprised you didn't get your ass beat more as a kid just being associated with folks like that.
Where I grew up "don't be a dick" was pretty much the code. Folks that forgot that were "reminded."
Surprises me really, hearing about others experiences growing up.

No ones ever struck me in my life nor called me names etc.

Oh and most of my friends are awesome but don't play so they never come up in conversation here really.

I think I grew up similarly to you. One of my friends Scott was at the bar with a bunch of other friends and associates of some of those friends. One guy kept saying rude things at the table, so my friend Scott tells the dick if you say something like that one more time I will smash this beer mug over your FN head, dick says yeah right. Dick goes away them comes back and says it again, Scott managed to actually break a thick arse beer mug on dick's head. Dick got stitches and Scott had to pay the hospital bill but a dick was educated about rudeness at a NEPA bar that day, that's for sure.

Thank ye again! I'm trying to understand how triads relate to modes better, still really hazy. I've always wanted to learn more about nashville notation and I think ultimately I'd like to be able to understand jazz, since at that point everything should be easy xD

I grew up with 3 brothers, and 3 sisters. There were plenty of ass whuppings at home before I ever caught on in the neighborhood.

I was really tall as a kid and get along with anyone or can pretend to. I might rough house, but never got in any anger fights save two, but again I was tall so I had reach and they didn't land anything.
