Stoner/Doom Bassists Thread, Part 90: Maxed Out

As low as I can go buzz free. I hate fret buzz. I beat the hell out of my strings when I get excited. I can handle some clank. I usually like flats so it's more of a clack which sounds better to me.
I've never had a nice bass properly set up though. So this could all change someday.
So I guess some buzz would be ok if I was turned up loud enough. But if I hear it coming off the bass playing quiet it bugs the sh*t out of me.

I had an acoustic bass that was just about impossible to get fretbuzz with. The action was stupid high, like high enough where chords were difficult above the 8th fret.
That piezo pickup sounded awesome though.
I've never heard a pickup that went that low and stayed clear since.
I'd really like to get a solid body with one of those Graphtech acoustiphonic bridges.

I seriously love what a piezo bridge pick up does for an electric. NEED a HPF for them for buffering impedance, and to filter the huge low end. The triple bucker Supra I posted yesterday has one. Really sounds like an amplified acoustic with it turned up. I need to get stronger on a six string so I can convince my dad to never sell that guitar.

If you're gonna move the Mini on, I may be interested in taking it off your hands, hit me up if/when you do decide to get rid of it.
Thanks for the offer but I actually traded the Mini for the Beta. JRock in the classifieds was looking for a Mini so we did an even Steven. It worked out perfect because he wanted more grind and I wanted more thump. The Mini is a cool tube amp in a box though for sure, just a grindier tube amp. It was super sweet on guitar.

I always wanted to try one of those Spectorcore models or you go the old school look with the Italia Mondial for your piezo bridge

No worries my man, I didn't really need it anyways. I'll probably grab one eventually, or not. bunch of other crap I actually need to pick up before that anyways.

"Standing in The shadows of Motown"

Sounds racist.

I can't think of anything I want to listen to the past few days. Nothing sounds good. It sucks when this happens. This ever happen to anyone else.
This generally means I have to listen to something from my childhood like poppy 90s dance stuff.

It's not working.

Just to watch the cute chick sing... Dig her British teeth.

I so want a cheap 400 series... Got one for $15 and sold it for $100 after putting in a green pilot light and adding a detachable cord aka making it amazing.
