Stoner/Doom Bassists Thread, Part 90: Maxed Out

That is a respectable rig for Romania. Should be plenty to start. I'm sure like the rest of us when a guitarist joins you'll have to think about adding cabinets.
I have family that lived there a few years and they always talked about how difficult transportation was. Is it still so?
Also, if gear is scarce, what about building supplies? The 115BH is a killer cab design! Very similar to the Yamaha and Sunn 115BH models.

Well I also have a Peavey 410TVX cabinet at hand. The problem is, most gigs are in closed-space clubs and if you show up with even a single 410, they tell you to turn down.
Transportation is as good as your car is :)
Here's a pic of my rig of stoner/doom.

"Thanks, yeah I spin them from time to time. I like the rock and old school country side of Americana the most. Bask just nails it for me. All Them Witches and King Buffalo got some of that mojo mixed in their stuff too."

You probably already know about these guys, but there's a bit of twang and boogie in Raging Slab.

Thanks I will check them out later. Lost connection to the hotspot at work on my cell.

You like the stock sounds? I'm sure those will be good enough for me... Hopefully.
I like tweaking knobs though :)

I absolutely love the stock sounds. There are a mind boggling number of presets. I usually choose one that seems to fit closest, and then tweak a couple of things (EQ, reverb, OH mic amount), and by that point it'll basically be perfect!

You know I'm starting to think I should give Ric o sound a try...bridge pup through Vulcan and neck through Dunwich + Booster.

I need to get a second amp so I can do this...

Don't be a puss... get two 415's.

Yes.

You on your period? Get two 815's.

;)

Get all the cabs!

I dug out the Rat last night and was playing through it - it sounds incredibly dirty and awesome, but seriously cuts low end. Noticed a bit of cut on the OD Glove as well. This reinforced my desire for a blend pedal.

So I ordered the parts that I'll need. Found a PCB + limited parts kit for one on this website: http://www.arcadiaelectronics.com/

It didn't include all of the components, but I'm pretty sure I have everything I'll need in my big tackle-box-o-parts. Also had to order the enclosure separately. Still, the whole project will come in around $30. Which is a hell of a lot less than buying one pre-made. Should be a fun project, too!

The kit company looks like they have some other cool kits, too. Most of which are pretty cheap.

-This kit is really good idea on their part, definitely see myself ordering one of these in the future: http://www.arcadiaelectronics.com/#...1/diy-universal-effect-pedal-kit--onboard-pcb

Hey all. Nothing new to report.
Got 2 basses and an amp listed on the local CL, aiming to downsize to one bass, one combo. Think I've given up on playing in any group other than the intermittent basement band. Heart's just not in it. So, I'll keep the bare minimum to be able to make low end noises, and bash out cowboy chords on the guitar, annoying my dog and cats.

What you selling?

I have my roster lined up for the Muff Off:

1. Green Tall Font Sovtek
2. Black Sovtek
3. AE Hail Cannabis
4. S&S Bluebeard
5. Fender Sublime
6. Wizard Fuzz

I know the WF is much more than muff, but I'll try to dial it into the muffiest territory I can for comparison.

If I were your wife/significant other I'd be pissed my muff didn't even make the contest...

I just got to work. Couldn't sleep. Good thing I'm already at 38hrs and I'm working tomorrow. Yay! Indian buffet for lunch in a few hrs.

What buffet is that in Austin?
